This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

It's not as angsty as Dusty but there is enough in there to keep me happy as I AM an angst wh0re.

I can do angst, but I prefer the kinds of stories where the bad stuff is over and the characters are working on getting better. I guess I like the hope. The ones where one bad thing happens after another? Yeah, no. Gets too soap opera-y for me and frankly, one is not supposed to find it funny when the characters have bad things happen to them. right? But I start finding it humorous. And stupid.

I have said I'm weird, right?

But I do like a good drama or mystery.

This is off the topic, but am I the only one that can't log onto Flag? Please tell me that isn't shutting down as I'm not computer literate to do the other downloads! Help

I haven't been able to log onto Flag either, for at least 24 hours. I assume Steve is doing upgrades, but I don't know for sure.

I wouldn't worry right now. It could just be down for maintenance or something like that. I think Steve would say something if he was going to shut it down, as it does do a lot of other fanfic sites.

And I happen to laugh a little when it becomes too much drama. Once I read a fic where Bella was kidnapped three times! But the third time even she had to snort and thought that this was getting ridiculous.

I just tried a few seconds ago and still down. Hey, won't it be a wonderful Christmas gift if Steve put a fix in so that we can download from FFnet again. going to write Santa a letter now. I have been good this year.

I hear ya! When my hubby turned 40 this year, I was so nice and supportive, because I knew it bothered him a bit... (men and their fragile ego, right?)

Then it was my birthday (33) and he teased me mercilessly

Yeah, turning 40 didn't bother me. I knew getting old was inevitable.My only complaint: it's true when they say your eyesight will change. I swear, a few weeks after my 40th, i suddenly couldn't read my text messages. I have been wearing glasses since i was 10yrs old. My grade is now 450 and 500. However, i had to lift my glasses and put the phone close to my eyes to read!

i was forced to increse the font size

Same now happens when i have to read medicine bottles, ingredients in packages etc. So, unsexy and obvious i am old when i have to read that way... Other than that, just embrace it

I'm another December baby, 22. I never got a separate birthday/Christmas present growing up, they were always combined and it scarred me for life.

I have just read the sweet and lighthearted Too Good to be True by Kristan Higgins. I must admit I really enjoyed it, just what the doctored ordered.
