I hate shopping but now I have another reason to hate it.
Me and the hubby took the kids with us shopping today as we had a few prezzies to get and while we were in the supermarket car park and this guy started kicking off with this other guy over a car parking space!!!
The one guy who started it was shouting so loud he scared the hell out of Saxon who then started screaming and crying.
The hubby then went over to the guy to tell him to calm down it was only a space and there were plenty of others available. The guy then started shouting and pushing the hubby complaining about Saxon crying, I had to hold onto the hubby so he wouldn't retaliate.
But the hubby blew a fuse when the guy then pushed me over just so he could get back into his car and the hubby is the most laid back peep I know, so when the hubby grabbed the guy and punched him I was shocked.
We now have to go down to the police station to see if the guy is pressing charges.  :(

But peeps be crazy when it's Christmas.  >:( :(

I'm so glad you're more or less OK *hugs*!

People are scary this time of the year...

You should sue the guy anyway, just to scare him...  >:(

Wow Loopy. That is most unfortunate. You should definitely press charges. I mean all that over a stupid parking space?! Glad that you are ok.

Thank goodness you got checked out and everything is okay with you and bump! I can't believe that guy pushed you over! That's unbelievable. And with your history of accidents, you definitely don't need any help in that department. I hope that guy doesn't try to press charges because he'll go down smoking! Again, glad you're okay, and I'd definitely make a photographic record of your injuries sometime today or tomorrow just in case you decide to press charges against him.

Review Shay Savage - Evan Arden trilogy

OK, I think I found my solution. I'm starting Shay Savage's Evan Arden trilogy now that it's complete! Original fiction but by a beloved fanfiction author. I think this may be the bridge I'm looking for to get me out of my slump. I'll let you all know what I think when I finish. *fingers crossed that it's good*

OMG, total WIN for Shay Savage's You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login !!! It was great! A day and a half of reading and skipping a little sleep because I couldn't stop reading. I even did something I never do--jumped to read the end of the 3rd book's epilogue because I wasn't sure how happy this ending could possibly be.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
[/spoiler]

The first book, Otherwise Alone, is short and steamy, but a great set up to pull you through the longer action/plot-driven second book, Otherwise Occupied. There was so much tension in the the third book, Otherwise Unharmed, that I constantly had to put the book down and calm myself before I could continue. The trilogy is essentially a mafia romance with suspense and lemons. Based on the description, I wouldn't have read it, but because it was by Savage, I thought I'd give it a try. It is definitely the best thing I've read in a long time. Loved it!

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

P.S. I skipped book 2.5 as it's about a secondary character and doesn't pertain to the core plot, but will revisit it now.

:D :D :D I can't even count the number of times I heard, "Here is your gift."  A little traumatic I agree.  :-*

(P.S. I'm loving Shay Savage's Evan Arden trilogy. I'm not sure if an HEA can be pulled out of this one, but I'm really enjoying the ride. Mafia/military/romance elements. It's so goooood!)

IKR.  Anyone with a kid born near Christmas, give the kid a birthday present separately or they too would be traumatised for life!   :D :D

As for Shay Savage I must admit I am a huge fan of hers.

I'm with Rickell on this. If he presses charges, you need to press charges too. After all, he pushed you first.  >:(

Are you okay?

Um, and where's the inappropriate sex in this one?  Just kidding.

I always wonder what happened to all the Christmas spirit. It's sure not at the stores.  :P

I was going to say the same thing!!

Loopy, how. The hell do you get So much action??

My six year old daughter is home sick today so she could watch TV the whole morning (a privilege only for ill persons) and could already open her Christmas calendar. (A Christmas calendar is normally a box with 24 little doors, every day from December 1st, you can open one door and get a little piece of chocolate, candy etc to sweeten the waiting time till Christmas...) In my family it is tradition that each kids gets a calendar filled by me with little presents, nothing big but fun.

Anyway, today my daughter got one of those paper dolls to cut out and paper dresses for her. Perfect for today!
She had one of those in her first present and was looking forward for a playmate for the doll.

So... she immediately got the other doll and tried if they could swap dresses and accidentially laid both dolls on top of each other...  ;)

That got her thinking...

"Mama, can two girls kiss each other, too?"

Being the liberal person that I am...

"Of course honey! If they want to, that's totally fine!"

I am already thinking of explaining homosexuality vs heterosexuality and how there's nothing wrong with it, looking at her puzzled and slightly horrified expression...

"But, but, Mama, KISSING IS SOOOOO GROSS!!!"

 :D :D :D

Thanks everyone for the messages - we went down to the police station and the hubby was told there was definitely no chances of him being charged with anything as it was self defense and the guy was in the wrong from the get go as it he was in the wrong about the bloody parking space anyway.  >:( ::) ::)
The police man even said e would of done the same thing, but we didn't hear him say that.  :D

Lol, kids say the funniest things. If only they thought that kissing was gross until they were at least in their 20's and not living home would be ideal. :D

Does anyone have any recs for good real, pubbed books? Something sweet and romantic, has some heat, and is well written? Available in ebook? Thanks!
Have you read Eleanor & Park?   Definitely sweet & romantic...   not high on the heat, but it's there.  Definitely well written.  It's a real gem!

No problem.  I think I originally put them out there for Anchalee.  Most everyone else here reads epubs or PDFs.  And I haven't updated the mobis in a while.  Just the ones that make it to my Kindle normally get changed.

Eventually, I hope to get all the PDFs and mobis into my Calibre library ;)

School and work are just kicking my butt right now....  :P

The Cullens are a large clan of vampires living in relative harmony with the wolf pack in the nearby Quileute reservation and the humans in the town of Forks. Until a nomad comes to town and shakes everything up. Vampires, E/B, AU
Twilight - Rated: M - English - Romance/Drama - Chapters: 18 - Words: 88,329 - Reviews: 492 - Favs: 576 - Follows: 303 - Updated: Mar 27, 2011 - Published: Feb 21, 2010 - Edward, Bella - Complete

Bella is already changed when the Cullens come to Forks.  I guess I can give that part away. Edward is not the virgin from the series.  It was a good, fairly quick read.  I enjoyed it.  It's not a great story, but I would rec it if you are in the mood for a vampfic.  Some lemons.  I skimmed through them.  LOL!  But not a whole lot.
