This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

I have read several of her stories, but did find the errors and sometimes simplicity of the stories to be a bit annoying, but I always wanted to find out what happened, and never flounced so there was at least some draw to the stories. I also read more than one (though can't remember which ones, other than the ballet one) so I didn't think they were that bad. A while back I ranked dance stories, and hers was 3rd of 3 on my list.

well, I like ballet. I'll probably go back and finish them. I'm just not in the mood for annoying stories. And there are just too many annoying things in them for me right now.

Its after midnight here, and I am making Christmas mints. I don't have any movies I want to watch and right now I am wishing that some of the really good fanfics were movies so I could watch them while I work.

I will try another one. I think she has good ideas. She needs a story beta to help her write better. And she shows more promise than Tufano. She just rushes it I think.

I think becoming a beta is making me want to fix all these stories. I wish I was better at it.

There have been many stories I have read that I thought a beta would make an okay/good story a good/great story.

My hubby and I decided quite quickly to pull both kids out of public school and homeschool a couple months ago so I've been busting my ass getting everything together for all of that. I haven't even read anything new, just re-read a couple of my favorite Jasper fics but I'm really wanting something new to read.

Wow you have been busy! How is the home schooling going?

This is only week 2 but it's actually going very well

We have a loft in our house so I turned that into a classroom, complete with the desks they had in school that I found on craigslist for super cheap. It's so nice because they get the one-on-one attention they need and I get to put my degree in education to good use

I'm trying to read a ButterflyBetty story. Actually, I started to read a different one and Bella & Edward were in love almost immediately. Okay, I can deal with love at first sight. But this was not coming across as love at first sight. There was no real build up. She just glosses over it all. And suddenly they are in love.

Now the second one I started. Similar thing. But both have Bella being assaulted by James near the beginning also. So im wondering if this is normal for her. It's reminding me of reading Tufano's stories. So has anyone else read her stuff? She was rec'd to me on Facebook. $:-\$

I just got an email that sugarsync's free plan was going bye bye next year, so I need to find a place to move my fic library. Does anyone here know of any places that offer a decent amount of free storage, that also works well with Calibre and with tablets?

I got the same email and it really chaps my ass. I just went and deleted my acct there.

So far, I like dropbox the very best, but I don't have enough space there to store my real books AND my fic, and I dunno if I really want to pay. If I do decide to pay for storage, I'll probably go with something more secure, so no one can see what I have unless I want them to.

Plus, it's tough to find one that works good with Calibre AND has a decent android app so I can get my books easy onto my tablet. Dropbox and Drive have been the easiest to use, but Drive fubars the calibre library.

Right now I'm checking out Box, I think it gives 10gb free to start.

Well, I totally messed mine up on Drive, so now it is just an extra backup. And Copy is a backup. But I haven't found a good free one. Supposedly Dropbox has a whole Calibre plugin or app or something like that. But you have to get people to join to get free upgrades of memory. And everyone I know has one already, so I can't get others to join.

I haven't tried Skydrive through Microsoft. Also, if you are an iPad user, you may be able to use the Apple cloud. I don't know how much space they give either.

I just got a 64 GB microSD card on sale for around $45. So, technically, I can put a copy of my whole Calibre Library on it without a problem and just put it into my tablet when I need it. But I have to remember to put it in my computer to update it.

And really? I don't want my whole Calibre library. Just a portion of it. I have too many stories I will never, ever, ever read. I almost started deleting them all, but sometimes I get a request for one on one of the various sites to which I'm a member. I have to remember there are people who like reading about the wolfpack and Jacob/Bella stories.......

The one bad thing about my tablet is it has no SD card slot, so I'm stuck with cloud storage unless I throw everything on there at once.

So you should and don't forget about other fandoms as well.

By the way, I am not a great lover of the Wolfpack unless it's are written by lifelesslyndsey, I much prefer the Volturi.
