This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

I think I might just have to read it next!  I'm reading Real/Mine by Katy Evans now and this will be a nice change of pace.

Right now I'm reading Hard as it Gets by Laura Kaye. Hot alpha male with tats, former special forces, helping out the daughter of the man who screwed him over? Sold!

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our website:

We've chosen to launch our site by featuring Falling For Acacia and Cygnet. All new stories will be published on the site.

A new chapter for FFA and two chapters Cygnet are available on the site NOW.

Chapters already featured on FFn are also up on the site, so new readers are able to read the complete story in one place. No further updates for these stories will be posted on FFn. (Existing chapters for Falling for Acacia will be moved to the Writesisters site and eventually pulled from FFn)

At this stage, Counsel and Mask'Charade will continue to be posted on FanFiction.

Two New stories are also planned for our site:

Lost, Edward's Story, the second companion piece to Counsel will be up soon. The first chapters are written.

Man To Boy, Jasper's Story, a companion piece to Falling For Acacia, is now in development.

Our aim is to eventually publish our original works on the site, and we hope you'll choose to read those as well.

I'm sure that many are wondering why we are no longer posting these stories on FanFiction, and why we've decided to launch our own site. The reasons are many, but the two major deciding factors are, firstly that we believe that we'll have more creative license, freedom and control by publishing on our own site. We are, and will always remain, grateful for the opportunities that FanFiction has afforded us. We're especially appreciative of the many readers who have chosen to read our work and then taken the time to review and provide us with the inspiration to continue writing.

And secondly, given recent history, we anticipate that the administrators of FanFiction may at some stage come to view one or more of our stories as contravening their regulations. We've chosen to take our fate into our own hands and be prepared for that eventuality.

We hope that you will continue your interest in Falling For Acacia as well as our other works, and that you choose to visit our site to continue reading. Nothing's changed, same writers, same writing, just a different address. We have not abandoned our wonderful and loyal readers, a number of whom we've come to view as friends. We're simply inviting you 'home', well, into our virtual home at least.

Well I checked out their website and saw that there wasn't an option to get automatic update alerts. I PM'd them and got the following message back:

I liked this fic.

I'm trying to read a ButterflyBetty story. Actually, I started to read a different one and Bella & Edward were in love almost immediately. Okay, I can deal with love at first sight. But this was not coming across as love at first sight. There was no real build up. She just glosses over it all. And suddenly they are in love.

Now the second one I started. Similar thing. But both have Bella being assaulted by James near the beginning also. So im wondering if this is normal for her. It's reminding me of reading Tufano's stories. So has anyone else read her stuff? She was rec'd to me on Facebook. 

I read several of her stories quite some time ago.  I couldn't tell you which ones now, although one was about ballet.  The plots were relatively basic, simple really.  They weren't bad, but they weren't great either.

I tried the Bella the pop star one first. Then switched to the FBI series, as that was the one rec'd. I'm thinking of flouncing or at least putting it down until I'm more in the mood - or more desperate - for something to read. It's not horrible but really? I'd rather reread something.   

I read her My Boys story and liked that, so I read some more, but had to stop pretty soon. She uses the same theme very often (she has several Bella has cancer stories that are very similar...) and I got really fed up by her monotone vocabulary. Everybody always "chuckles" everything!

EPOV: "Why are you crying?" I chuckled softly. "Because I cut off my finger and it hurts!" she chuckled. "I'll call an ambulance!" I chuckled. "Please hurry, there's so much blood!" She chuckled...   (yeah, I made that scene up, but she used this chuckle like I did...)

She is something for desperate reading times. You know you'll get overdone drama, lots of stencilled lemons and it can be entertaining... 

I think what was really annoying me was all the "love you"s she has. It's Love you this and love you that.  You made me very angry and I love you. Okay, maybe not the best, if you were thing I was talking about Bella to Edward.  But this is Bella to Rose and Alice.  Instead of "See you later" It's "Love you"  Who talks that way.  At least in the U.S.?  Maybe to your kids.  But friends I know don't say that, and I don't say that to my sisters. 

Okay.  I guess she hit some of my "finds this really annoying" things. 

Now I'm trying to get into My Mate by Princess Rachel.  This mating thing is weird.  Are they SM's vamps or something a little different.  I can't see SM's vamps drinking from each other.  But I can see Buffy the Vampire Slayer vamps doing it.  I guess, I'll keep going a bit.  It's all a little weird and my Actorward didn't update today yet like she promised.....

Bella got a surprise visit by "Dolly Pardon" 

I bet Dolly Pardon was a drag queen.

But unfortunately not , she was supposed to be the actual Dolly. And it wasn't an one-time error, she wrote the name like that the whole time! And Bella was supposed to be that huge Country Singer Superstar, so it was really weird...

I will try another one. I think she has good ideas. She needs a story beta to help her write better. And she shows more promise than Tufano. She just rushes it I think.

I think becoming a beta is making me want to fix all these stories. I wish I was better at it.
