This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

My search skills are not the best... do we have The Submissive trilogy (Tara Sue Me) uploaded here at PTS in a format other than PDF? I tried to get the PDF but it didn't transfer very well to my Kindle.

They aren't in my Google drive Calibre library yet. I only have them in mobi.

Just a note - The latest update to FFDL requires the latest version of Calibre. Or at least a later version than what I had - which was 1.10, I think....

So if you get error messages, you may need to update Calibre.

I love it though, her co-author who left the story doesn't like how she's treating Edward? Did it start out Bella/Edward?

No, it was Bella/Jake from the get go. In this one, Bella knew she loved Jake before she married Edward, she spent one night with him before the wedding, and then left Edward when they figured out she was pregnant with Jake's baby. Picks up a few months after the baby is born, when Bella comes home.

I like the occasional Bella/Jake story. I do wish her co-author hadn't left, because I found this fic better written than the one I read by her alone. Not sure I'll even finish it now.

I can't even count the number of times I heard, "Here is your gift." A little traumatic I agree.

(P.S. I'm loving Shay Savage's Evan Arden trilogy. I'm not sure if an HEA can be pulled out of this one, but I'm really enjoying the ride. Mafia/military/romance elements. It's so goooood!)

4 our of the 5 people in my immediate family are "Christmas" babies. My husband starts the season on the 10th and I end it January 5, with 2 of my children in between, one days before Christmas (sharing with you Caro) and one the day before mine. We ALWAYS have a separate birthday celebration (and gifts) for each person. Of course, it helps that we're all in the same boat. I think my middle child (an August baby) feels a little left out of the birthday season!

Living overseas from our families, for all birthdays that occur in the fall, we wait and mail birthday presents along with the Christmas package, or bring them with us if we travel that year.

Though these were not sweet, the things Constantijin Kastein did were quite romantic in that "showing you belong to me", "she's my girl so respect her" kind of way to the underdog heroine. Le sigh

I can do angst, but I prefer the kinds of stories where the bad stuff is over and the characters are working on getting better. I guess I like the hope. The ones where one bad thing happens after another? Yeah, no. Gets too soap opera-y for me and frankly, one is not supposed to find it funny when the characters have bad things happen to them. right? But I start finding it humorous. And stupid.

I have said I'm weird, right?

But I do like a good drama or mystery.

That's not weird at all hun, even though I love angst it's gotta be for a reason and not just for the hell of it.
It's one of the reasons why I can't read Tufano's fics - I've tried several times but they annoy me as she just seems to write angst and drama for no reason.

I have just read the sweet and lighthearted Too Good to be True by Kristan Higgins. I must admit I really enjoyed it, just what the doctored ordered.

I love Kristan Higgins books - they're so easy to read, which is what you need some times.

I feel so sorry for all you December birthday peeps as most people are skint and trying to stretch their money this month for Christmas and New Year.
I know my Brother and his family hate having birthday's this month - him, his wife and youngest son all share a birthday on Christmas Day, which normally means they have joint Christmas/Birthday presents given instead of separate ones and their eldest Daughter has a birthday on Boxing Day (26th).

I hate shopping but now I have another reason to hate it.
Me and the hubby took the kids with us shopping today as we had a few prezzies to get and while we were in the supermarket car park and this guy started kicking off with this other guy over a car parking space!!!
The one guy who started it was shouting so loud he scared the hell out of Saxon who then started screaming and crying.
The hubby then went over to the guy to tell him to calm down it was only a space and there were plenty of others available. The guy then started shouting and pushing the hubby complaining about Saxon crying, I had to hold onto the hubby so he wouldn't retaliate.
But the hubby blew a fuse when the guy then pushed me over just so he could get back into his car and the hubby is the most laid back peep I know, so when the hubby grabbed the guy and punched him I was shocked.
We now have to go down to the police station to see if the guy is pressing charges.

But peeps be crazy when it's Christmas.

Ooh Loopy!! Hope you weren't hurt! How dare that bastard push a pregnant lady! If he files charges, you should file counter charges for pushing you first. Surely the police will see your hubs was just protecting you and Saxon, treating his family that way after he was just being a good samaritan

When we spoke to shop security and the police earlier they were very much on my hubby's saide as they watched the CCTV and they were certain that the guy just wanted a fight anyway judging with how he acted over a parking space.

We only have to go back to the station as it's required otherwise we wouldn't bother with it.
Like I said apart from the lovely bruise I'm fine.
As for the inappropriate sex - once the hubby had calmed down enough he said that he was gonna think of some appropriate (or inappropriate - depending how you look at it) way to thank him.
On a lighter note, it was really hot watching him getting pissed off as it rarely happens.

You should take a picture of your bruised butt and include it as evidence, as well as the hospital reports. Not that i want to make light of what happened, surely that bruise will not look like a handprint or whip mark
