This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

I'm so scared of updating my FFDL after last month when it stopped working altogether...Let me know how you get on..

He fixed it pretty quick and it wasn't his fault - that was all FFnet.  FFDL is working perfectly now. 

Now Flagfic is not picking up chapters/stories updated/written after 10/10/13.  So check your Flagfic downloads if they are newer stories.  Steve is working on it, but it is some setting in FFnet that is causing the problem.  So far it is not affecting any of the other downloaders.   

Flagfic still works perfect on the older stories.

Okay, just got a notification that the newest update of FFDL for Calibre will support Fictionpad! 

*goes to download and check now....*   

That is great but I cannot get FFDL to work. It was OK earlier.

It just stopped working.  We have notified the writer, but I think FFnet is doing funky things because Flagfic is having problems as well.  Steve said they were blocking it or something.

I have a bad feeling that ffn wants to leave us at the mercy of the authors' whims on whether the story will be available to read.

I would not be surprised.  I have found you can nolonger cut and paste from FFn.

I left it as a zip file.  Remamed it FanFictionDownLoader and put it in the Calibre folder in AppData/Roaming folder.  Which is a hidden folder.  So if you aren't in a hurry, it's probably best to wait.

I'd forgotten how much I liked My Mate...I'm glad I've had to go back and re-read it!

I liked My Mate--it had a little of everything. A dash of smut, a pinch of angst and a dollop of action. Yum! My Power was good too, but I didn't connect with it as much. But then I usually like the 'falling for each other' stories more than the 'once they're together' ones--even if it packs a punch the way My Power does.

P.S. still LOLing about WTF Astro

This happened to me too. I liked and was excited to to read it but it was a little bit 'meh'.

And currently reading Heat.... I don't know what chapter I'm on... But it's good.

Am with you ella, can't read bestiality. I also don't read paranormal, werewolves stuff (well except for the original twilight series). Like demaris, i prefer humanward but have read a few vampwards that are highly rec'd by you guys. Still lining up grasping darkness... Too many books to read,too little time... I have since given up looking at my TBR fanfic list... I just read what was just recently mentioned here... hence, thank you for rec'ing Breakaway Bella, am enjoying it so far 

Oh, and i have stopped visiting the More than 152 thread...you guys rec enough stuff for me here... going there will just probably add a couple more thousands to my unread list
