Try out a real m/m book first so you don't get too shocked when a known character you have always thought of as straight suddenly isn't ....Matron introduced me to some of her top m/m books. Got to say i loved this:

Such a great story and funny dialogues. I convinced my 57 yr old sister to read it (her first slash too) a few months ago and she loved it as well, to the point she even sent an email to the author.

Have been hearing wonderful things about the Cut and Run series of Abigail Roux, might start that this Christmas break

Cut & Run is my absolute FAVORITE series!

So I'm reading Snowbound by Edward's Eternal. The story itself is good. However, I am so tired of the lemons. And I'm skimming them.

Maybe there is something wrong with me. Or maybe they just aren't hot enough to have two per chapter.

We won't get into the fact their eye colors are all wrong. I was trying to ignore it. Sigh.

Okay I have to get back to work. I just needed to complain for a sec.

So I was curious about cupcakeriot after enjoying Magnetic--even though it wasn't the best written piece--because I liked her plot idea. I followed up by reading Blood and really enjoyed it. Another quick and easy read with an AU of vamps. I wish the ending had been a little more drawn out, but otherwise I can say that cupcakeriot grew as a writer. Few SPaGs and better planning. I think I may try another one of her stories soon.

I'm the same way. I like the UST, and then the very first sex scene, then I usually find myself skimming. I know I run a Smut Group on goodreads, but I tend to the less smutty side of books. I don't want fade to black, or silly purpley prose sex, but I don't want scene after scene after scene either.

I haven't got bored with M/M sex scenes though, I hardly ever skim those, lmao!

Looking for a good story without hundreds of lemons? Try Elemental by TallulahBelle. I only watched the first season of The Secret Circle, but this story reminded me a lot of it as its supernatural element focuses on witchcraft. Add in the complication of mating/imprinting and this story made for a rich read. I really enjoyed it and was pleased I didn't have to skip a bunch of lemons--and not because it FtB, but because it's a slow build. Even though it probably could have gotten away with a T rating, it was good. (Maybe for language? Can't remember.) And though it's BPOV (with outtakes in EPOV), I still liked it.

I really enjoyed Help Wanted but I have to admit even I skimmed the lemons after a while, as they seemed to be a bit repetitive after a while.
It seemed after a while that E & B did nothing but had sex, who has that much time to have sex all the time (I wish I did, but sadly it ain't so

)

I really enjoyed this one too. The fact that it is a different type of supernatural made it a refreshing change from the norm.
