Ok, so I am trying to read Trespass by Samekraemer and I think I am going to flounce this one. I am 4 long chapters in it just isn't grabbing me. Can anyone tell me if it gets better?

Talk about a slow burn…whew! This romance takes its time to build and, as a reader, I'm all that more grateful for it. AU vampworld/mating that was kind of like Twilight 2.0. Somehow, it simplified/condensed the good parts of the entire Twilight series into a quick read that I recommend.

I also rec these two from Chicklette. There is, to me, a layer of depression in her words, though both are HEAs; it just takes a while to get there. And Yet They Shine has a mythic quality to it that too me some time to get used to, but I was really curious to see where the plot was going. It took her 3 years to finish it, but I'm glad she did. Of Kith and Kin spotlights a woman living in the past until she finds a reason to act toward creating a future. It focuses on all the different kinds of love in a person's life and was quite good.

I found a story in the index called 'An Angel Closes Her Eyes' by tg10781. Does anyone here happen to have the Summary, Genre, word count and if it's an All Human fic? I would like to know a little more about this story before I start to read it, I will take what ever you have to offer me. Thank you.

Seems I got kicked out of the Fanfic Hunters Group on Facebook. Or they closed it. Not sure I care, other than I didn't do anything wrong based on their rules. So it is a little annoying. There was too much drama in that group.

What's sad is that I just noticed it and I probably got kicked off a while ago.,,,,

Ah well.

A few weeks ago, there was a posting on Fanfic Hunters FB page asking members who want to remain with the group to post a reply to the posting. Those who did not post, will be kick off. ( something about having a lot of inactive members) I just go there for recs too. just happened to be on that day.

( something about having a lot of inactive members) I just go there for recs too. just happened to be on that day.

Well that explains it! After Ella's post, i went to my facebook account to check and yes, it is no longer in my groups list. Am really inactive there (and facebook in general) so it's ok with me to be removed. I get all the recs i can keep up with from here

I pushed through and am up to chapter 9. It is starting to pick up, but wow, it gives a new definition for slow building. I am going to try to get through it, but we will have to see.

I think there is a huge difference between reading a fic as a WIP or not.
I read it as a WIP, so that may be it.

Booked, it's one of those groups you have to be so careful in anyway. The mods there are very strict and have no patience for those that don't follow the rules. I find myself constantly apologizing for doing it wrong.

Well, that probably explains it. After some nastiness over there, I kind of kept away for a week - I didn't want to get sucked in and lose my spot. Because some of the admins were kind of nasty. Okay, one was. No sense of humor and a little power hungry. I was afraid I was going to say something rude to her... But it seems I lost it anyway. It's okay, I wasn't much help. And I went and joined a couple more rec groups....

Much more pleasant....

I just missed Patricia Lyons - that woman has read and remembers so many fics, it's amazing! Being that I can't remember what I read last week? She may be my fic memory hero....

Well, I can't type... so don't worry about spelling here. Although we complain about SPaG errors in the stories we read, it's hard to be perfect in a post - especially if you are using a phone. And no one will say anything. Unless it makes it really funny. Then we may laugh...Yeah, I should change that to we totally will laugh. But in a nice way....

Especially if it has anything suggestive about it....
