This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Does anyone have any idea why all of a sudden, all of the "covers" for my fanfic library are now showing up in my Google + photos album? (and taking up more space!) I didn't notice this happening until a few days ago. They aren't even real covers, just multiples of the blank book cover Flag uses, or just the title page you get from the FF downloader plug in.

At first I loved this fic because

And I liked the pace of it and everything was good, then I get halfway to the fic or maybe it was more than halfway and the the author drops the bomb that

By this point I'm just getting annoyed and just start skimming the fic, and from what I gathered

[/spoiler] And this was somewhere in chapter 54 so I decided to jump to the last one to see if this fic is a HEA after all. And the last chapter is a Prologue

So I go back one chapter and it's as the author calls it a 'Realistic Ending' and I started reading that because well maybe Edward is older and the fic will end with a 'Realistic Ending'.... Turns out

And this is the point where i pretty much want to punch the fic. I didn't even bother to read the real ending that did have a HEA

Afther all that I'm just pissed that I spend three days reading a fic that I din't even bother to check to see if it had a nice HEA.

Hmmm, if by chance they become part of our thread, they will definitely see what i rec'd or commented. have sent PMs or FB messages to those fanfic writers i love.
If they are in fictionpad i will make the effort (havent tried posting a review there yet). however, unless i REALLY like a fic, i tend not to give a review as i don't want to give lukewarm reviews, more so negative ones, that might hurt the authors' feelings. I religiously give a rating for pub books in good reads. I hope that since they expect to sell their books, they would be "tougher" if they receive 1-3 stars rating. But can't do it for fanfics

They write for free and am not an expert to give them pointers, i can only say how i felt reading their book. Isn't it tough to get a comment like "i didn't connect with the characters" or "it lacked something" specially if i can't add WHY bec i myself can't express it

I'll admit that if I only feel lukewarm about the story, I just thank them for sharing. If I like it, I'll also tell them that. Generally, I only give other reviews if there is something I really like or connect with. I take that back, if they're slow to update and I really want them to stick with the story, I'll thank them for updating and mention that I look forward to more.

Well, like i said I went to the last chapter and that was a prologue so i went to the previous chapter (58) and that was the alternative ending and chapter 57 had the real ending. So it did have a HEA I just ddon't care enough to read it.

Did you ever get an answer to this as I too haven't been able to access this site...since I can't figure out all the new download directions I rely on Flag and this site for my downloads. Thanks Paula

Still no word from Steve and FLAG is still down. In fact, you can't even get on his site. The weather isn't really an excuse anymore because things have mellowed and I don't think "ice" or bad weather in Dallas (

) can really be blamed. And, I know it doesn't work on FF.net anymore, but it was the only way to get things from ADF and FictionPad, so it's not even about FLAG not working on one site (like TWCS or Twilighted), it's now completely inaccessible. Just want to know what is going on and if it's dead, then I need to find an alternative because I can't use FFDownloader or Calibre, and Storymaster doesn't work on those sites.

Since I loved one of her other fics, I skimmed that one. I don't care for Cougarella fics, so I didn't read it (hypocrite, I know cause I like Olderwards...

). But she wrote two endings. The fairytale HEA, where Edward and Bella end up together and the realistic one where they don't.

Can you help me figure out how to get passed the "A's" in Ella's google drive? So far all I get are her title page and would love to update a few of my stories as I also can't figure out how to download without Flag...I'm hopeless, call it old age if you must but whenI downloaded the fan fiction downloader it wouldn't open for my Mac..oh well..if I could just figure out Ella's google page all would be right with my world. click on the link in Ella's sig. There you are, seeing all the stories starting with A, right?
In the left upper corner, click on the google picture. You are on your own google drive, in the share drive.
Now just write the title or author of the story you want in the search bar in the middle of the upper page.
If Ella has it, it will show up. Download. Ready.

Quick question... The Other Side of the Fence and Taste of Innocence... those are both ExB with HEAs, right? I bookmarked them a while back so I'd remember to send them to my Kindle but then I got paranoid that i might have bookmarked the wrong thing. LOL I'd hate to have an accidental non-HEA on my Kindle! I would not enjoy that kind of surprise!
