This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Quick question... The Other Side of the Fence and Taste of Innocence... those are both ExB with HEAs, right? I bookmarked them a while back so I'd remember to send them to my Kindle but then I got paranoid that i might have bookmarked the wrong thing. LOL I'd hate to have an accidental non-HEA on my Kindle! I would not enjoy that kind of surprise!

Can you help me figure out how to get passed the "A's" in Ella's google drive? So far all I get are her title page and would love to update a few of my stories as I also can't figure out how to download without Flag...I'm hopeless, call it old age if you must but whenI downloaded the fan fiction downloader it wouldn't open for my Mac..oh well..if I could just figure out Ella's google page all would be right with my world. If i recall correctly, there was an option to add Ella's drive to mine. I had tp click that so it becomes a folder in MY google drive. Since i've added it, what Anch said to click on the upper left google sign works so i can search ella's drive. Alternatively, the upper right shows the button "open in drive", click that then search away. Oops, most basic, i think, is for you to have your own google drive (easy to setup once you've logged in with your owm gmail acct). Hope it helps

I added them to my short list of fics that I MUST read... I've got 46 on my TBR list and I've now read 37 fics.

Still have a long way to go compared to some of you guys!

I have to say Taste was not my favorite Nolebucgrl fic. Edward was a little annoying with all the internal babbling. I think I flounced near the end.

And really, I've pretty much like all her other stories.

At first I loved this fic because

And I liked the pace of it and everything was good, then I get halfway to the fic or maybe it was more than halfway and the the author drops the bomb that

By this point I'm just getting annoyed and just start skimming the fic, and from what I gathered

[/spoiler] And this was somewhere in chapter 54 so I decided to jump to the last one to see if this fic is a HEA after all. And the last chapter is a Prologue So I go back one chapter and it's as the author calls it a 'Realistic Ending' and I started reading that because well maybe Edward is older and the fic will end with a 'Realistic Ending'.... Turns out

Afther all that I'm just pissed that I spend three days reading a fic that I din't even bother to check to see if it had a nice HEA.

Ahh, much better now that i got it all out.

Thanks for the heads up, I like an older Bella, but not that much older. (I'm seven and a half years older than my husband, my teenagers love telling their friends Mom is a cougar).

Ok, so we've played the "Name your top 10 fics" game many times in the past... I enjoy it every single time! How about this time we pretend you're stranded on a deserted island and your solar-powered-reading-device can only have one single fan fiction author on it. Which fic writer do you choose? (oh and this magic device would also be updated "magically" with any new fics this person writes ;-) )

I guess I'd probably pick lolashoes... or maybe AngstGoddess003?

I did enjoy the "books" but found some of the characters behaviour odd. As for the explanation and motives for said behaviour, I thought it was rather puzzling but then that's just me. I cannot tell you more without giving the plot away but if you do read this do let me know what you think.

I sit here contemplating the best way to say this as I have been a author for almost 4 years now. My readers have seen me through the pregnancy and birth of my youngest sons, a move all the way across the country; have helped me to celebrate the joys of my children's triumphs accomplishments, my husband's deployment and homecoming. I have made so many good friends and lost a few but oh well it happens and this is how we evolve grow and change. I owe you guys so much and can't say how much I have adored being a part of this site, but the unthinkable happened last night.

It started with an anonymous review telling me I violated TOS and was reported, then a PM asking me how I would like to have me and my children killed since The Bronx bombers and its Sequel Kings of the Bronx condones and promotes the killing and mistreatment of children. I think that is taking it a step too far. If any of you know me you know I am a mother and wife first, I am into everything my children and husband do, so to ever insinuate I condone the harm of children is just unthinkable.

I have dealt with nasty guest reviewers, people who thought it was okay to insult my intelligence or to tell me I was attention seeking or lying or blah blah blah. You know what say whatever you want about me, but if you bring my children into it, the gloves come off.

I have decided to take a step back from my face book groups and all my projects I have going on right now for a week, I have decided to unplug and just spend time with my kids and my husband and as one guest reviewer so eloquently put it, embrace my stepford wife nature. SMH. Before I go I would like to let my readers know. On Wednesday I will be pulling all of my stories and my profile from this site permanently. I refused to be bullied or censored and I refuse to let some coward hide behind a keyboard and say anything they want to me. This site is a breeding ground for mentally unstable internet gangsters who cowardly bash and report awesome writers and amazing people because they have nothing else better to do. I refuse to post my work here and I refuse to read here.

I will be moving all of my stuff to and that is where home will be for Kings of the Bronx, To Love Honor and Obey and Second to No One and the continuation of His Wide receiver which will go from a one shot to a multi chapter.

I love every single one of my readers and reviewers and will miss you all, but there are some things that even the strongest of hearts can't take.

What is wrong with people? No matter how bad the writing, as long as it's no pedophilia or bestiality, I admire them for putting themselves out there.

How sick is someone that thinks it's OK threatening her children just because they don't like the story?

Is THAT something reportable to FF.net? Do they know what they are doing with encouraging that witch-hunt?
Bullying the writers, threatening their families...
They try to provide a "safe" environment and what they suceed in is generating a destructive environment for writers.

I think they stopped teaching people "if you can't say anything nice..." If I don't like a fic, I stop reading and move on, I don't go slam the author. Sure, I might vent or laugh about it here, but that's as far as I go, and if I know the author might post here, I even watch what I say here. I might give scathing reviews of real books, but I still try to keep it impersonal, and I feel that's my right as a paying customer, and also my responsibility to warn other readers. But with fic? That's something most writers do out of love, and it's free, so I just don't feel comfortable going all up in their space. And threats and name calling? That's just wrong!

I think that, with all these changes FF.net has been doing, they really need to get rid of anon comments and reviews, it just breeds people who think they can say whatever the hell they want.

I really liked Bella. But Edward thinks too much. I just wanted to tell him "Please shut up!"

And I love to hear Edward normally. So, yeah, not a favorite. Though it's not bad. I just wouldn't put it at the top of the list.

For Twilight, probably Mortissues, I've loved everything I've read of hers. For Harry Potter, I'd take Sara's Girl, she is freaking amazing, and has lots to read.

I haven't read wwf or the taste fic.

I loooooove her stuff. But I don't really like actorwards. It just seem like the authors deep desire to meet rob. Change Edward for Rob and Bella for the authors name.

First and Ten is my favorite. But sideline collision has one chapter that literally had me laughing out loud.

I have reported and complained to FFN numerous times about the atmosphere of bullying and harassment they are allowing to flourish on their site....you can see how much of a response that has gotten. Can you hear the crickets?

I will keep complaining because I hate mean spirited bullies!!!!!
