This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Someone awhile back mentioned this fic. It's on my watch list as well. Well, it's now complete but I'm having trouble downloading it either from FFDL (standalone version) or from Calibre. With FFDL, I got the time runout error message after 30 minutes. With Calibre, well - it keeps running and running and after an hour only 1% got downloaded.

I think that if you already downloaded it as a WIP and just wanted to update the link, it's fine but if you just want to re-download then the error will occur. My guess is that the file is too big. I really like to have the PDF version from FFDL

Anyone having the same problem?

I Have complete PDF, and I only use that FanFiction Downloader to download this
fanfiction. No problems to download.

Perhaps my high internet speed help me download very big fanfiction stories
without any problems.

It's probably because of the size of it, over a million words, that's as big as ten decent novels. I'll see if Calibre will let me do it .

Hmm, my version of Calibre doesn't seem to like it either, sorry.

It's probably because of the size of it, over a million words, that's as big as ten decent novels. I'll see if Calibre will let me do it .

I belief problem to download this fanficion is not number of words,
but number of chapters beyond 700?

I Have complete PDF, and I only use that FanFiction Downloader to download this
fanfiction. No problems to download.

I have it in epub. I had the same problem, so I added the chapters manually using Sigil.

Ficfangirl, I know this story is still online, but it's almost impossible to download. I added the remaining 20 chapters manually using Sigil.

I didn't like Bella in the beginning, but she gets better later. I don't like Alice or Jasper very much in this story. I really like Edward, Esme ,Rose, Carlisle and Emmett.

Ok, who else read Bonne Foi? I have had this on my TBR list and finally got around to reading it. Just finished it tonight. I really really wanted to like the fic because I love vampward. With that being said, I was a little disappointed in it. I guess I wasn't expecting it to be so much like the original Twilight books. There were differences thrown in, but ultimately it was the same story. What did you guys think of it?

I love Bonne Foi! I also like Only Human and Anatomy of a Human. These are my favorite stories by Amethyst Jackson.

I know at one point it was 100 chapters but the amount of drabble stories resulted in increasing the amount. I don't know if they still have a limit or not. I'm trying it out on FFDL standalone now. I let you know if it works.

And? Mine is set to mobi. Not sure if that matters.

Why am I such an idiot when it comes to Google Drive? When I go to your comp fanfics I can only find the first 500. I'm sure I'm doing something stupid. But...how do I find a story? Is there a search function?

LOL! I only see the first 100 or so as well.

In the top left corner click on the "Google Drive" A search box will appear. You can then type in the story name or author. Author should give the option of the author folder.

The delay was added because FFnet was blocking IP addresses when the delay wasn't there. They were discussing this on the Calibre plugin thread on mobilereads. One of the reasons it slowed down so much. I used to be able to check for updates on 1000 stories at a time. Now, I'm lucky if it doesn't crash looking at 300. $:-\$

The writing was good and it was a good story, but I guess I was just disappointed because I thought with all the rave reviews it would be more unique.

I used FFDL the standalone version just for kicks to see if it would download it and it seemed to go through fine. I used it to first download to MOBI and then I converted to EPUB and PDF with calibre *shrug*

OK let me get this straight. You ladies are downloading 600 chapter of, no angst, no lemons, T rated, and, according to the author 'pointless detail' ? So here is my question. WHY?!

I actually like Jacob in Choices. I usually don't because in most stories he is in a love triangle with Bella and Edward. If not, then he is the bad guy. In this story he helps Bella and Edward. I haven't read many stories where that happens. Choices is not complete. The author has said that it will be completed at some point.
