I was just going to ask this very question.  I can't get on.  I'm glad it's not just me.  I've been gone all day on a school field trip with my youngest to our lovely state capitol.  Several of the WIPs that I follow updated and I was hoping to catch up with my reading before I fall into bed in an exhausted stupor.  Guess that's not going to happen.

I've been on here for the last ___ years and treated it as a support group.  I guess the difference is that this is an enabling group, not a group to help you kick the addiction.

So I'm looking for an alley where I can trade um favors for um fan fiction. .... Ooooo there's always TWCS. Or my Kindle.

this site may not help us kick our addictions, but I will say that I can be having a sh*tty arsed day, and log on here, and just smile you guys on here seriously make my day sometimes. especially random quote times that make no sense. or back alleys where dirty deals are made

Well, I think ffn is at it again.  I can't get my stories to update using calibre FFDL.  Damn it!  Luckily, those lovely people usually work around ffn's obstacles pretty quickly.

When you're reading something that will inevitably end up HEA and your favorite characters have broken up and are seeing other people, do you read through the journey it takes for them to get back together, which includes long chapters of them and this boring WRONG person and the occasional lemon?

I always love a happy ending but sometimes I just can't be bothered to read through what is essentially filler just to make it to the end. I skip ahead sometimes and figure out what went on when the current chapters reference past events. I only have this problem with fanfiction! I think with the books I read, I enjoy them so much I'll read whatever because I don't want to miss anything and need to soak it all up 

Fanfics don't have to have a happy ending...Some are dark and twisted. Bwahahahaha

Well, I think ffn is at it again.  I can't get my stories to update using calibre FFDL.  Damn it!  Luckily, those lovely people usually work around ffn's obstacles pretty quickly.

They are adding in a "sleep" time so it will take longer to get story updates. This is because ffnet is blocking IP addresses that make a lot of requests in a short time. I think they are only temporary blocks but they might last a day or two from what I've heard.   

A new update should be out there.
