This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Yeah I finished it. Of course now we wait a year for the next one. I just hate to wait. Let me ask this, do you have a system for keeping up with the books you are waiting for? I mean every damn book these days is a wip and I've forgotten some I've read and am supposed to be waiting for the follow up book. I'm getting old, my memory is not as good as it used to be...ginko here I come. I need some sort of system reminder.
epub is the best format, I agree.

It takes me about 3 or 4 weeks of regularly reading updates to remember I'm following a WIP. And this is with seeing the FFnet reminders.

It is very sad.

Just finished a new Vampward story. There's a related murder mystery. And though there were character deaths, they happened before the start of the story. So though you feel sad, it's not too bad.

I like Charlie in this one. And Bella is not annoying.

My memory is poor as well

I go on goodreads and mark the sequels "to be read". goodreads is more or less my go to site to see all the books of an author i like. My memory is poor as well

That's a good idea, I think I'll do that as well. I just hope I will be able to remember what I've read previously. I'm impatiently waiting for S Day to finish her xfire series....I barely remember what I've read so far...oh well.
I'd better get some sleep. I've got to be rested to deal with my a$$ of a boss. I wanna junk punch him soooooo bad.

I absolutely love Mobward and I think Ive exhausted all available on ff and TWCS and Twilighted.

Any pulled ones would be great or just some that you've read which I may not have...

Today is Ash Wednesday, the official start of the Lenten season for Catholics.

I wanted to sacrifice something for Lent and i thought: too easy to stop using facebook for 40 days, too hard to skip PTS $:-\$ So i decided to abstain from p0rn, which is just in the middle. Oh, plus cigarettes and junk food on Wednesdays and Fridays, a bit hard but doable.

Then again there is hope: do a good deed instead so you don't have to abstain

Hmmm, might be easier to quit junk food

I use to try and give up something difficult to give up like sex, but that never works in my favour.

So this year I'm giving up cake, we only usually have cake on someones birthday and as all the cake from birthday is gone, this shouldn't be too hard.

Being a lapsed Catholic, I give up smoking. Which, since I don't actually smoke, is easy.

I used to give up liver and onions, but, well I really like onions.

No, the Cullens are vamps. It's a "What if Edward didn't come back? And Emmett sees Bella at a bar 6 years later?

It has an HEA and is listed as humor, though so far not laugh out loud humor. But amusing. Bella thinks Edward should pay for his decision. And tries to make his life miserable. While having fun doing it.

I have about 20 stories by an author called Zosie in my Calibre library. So today I decided to read one; I feel like shooting myself in the face. Twice. The story is called As if I Never Existed.

Edward leaves Bella after High School to go to NYU, and soon afterwards, she disappears. While he is living his new life, Bella has been kidnapped by serial girl collector, James, and kept isolated so she suffers Stockholm Syndrome and bonds with him.

Now I plan to get rid of every single story that reside in my Calibre by this....?...author? But before I do I thought I'd reach out to you ladies to ask, have any of you read any of her story that might be worth saving? Don't be shy now, I promise not to hold it against you if I disagree

I read the Actorward one. It was okay. Not something I'd recommend unless you really need an Actorward fix.

I also may have started Forgetting Edward. It was okay, but I think I was looking for a Vampward fic and started a bunch of them until I found one I couldn't put down. I always considered her writing okay, but not great. And I haven't read that one, nor would I. I don't usually do kidnap fics unless it's Edward doing the kidnapping....

I forgot about that lil' lovely quirk and just went to nab Kitkat681's stories only for her to have 451 favorites that Calibre is now trying to pull down on top of her 39 stories. I only want her stories. I don't need or want her favorites. HELP?

The ones at the bottom of the list belong to the author. Find the first story on the list in FFnet and then delete the stuff above it.

The other way I do it is with the right click thing that grabs the URLs in a webpage (I have LinkClump with Chrome) and then use the Add URLs option. It also works.
