This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

This! I haven't thought much about Esme, but I know that Nikki Reed is not my Rosalie, but I'm having trouble as to who she might be. That said , regarding Alice, the Alice in my head is shorter than Bella, whereas Ashley Greene and Kristen Stewart are about the same. And Rosalie is a decent bit taller than both.

I think if they had a taller Jasper, I wouldn't have been as bothered by Alice's height, but Jackson Rathbone is almost the same height. Jasper is supposed to be tall.

I haven't found my perfect Rosalie either.

I did. The girl who played Booth's reporter girlfriend on Bones a few years back. I thought she would have been a perfect Rosalie.

Her name is Katheryn Winnek. Or something like that.

Okay, I think I might have figured it out. I was downloading CayStar's Contest Entries. And I think what happened is she must have changed the title (It used to be called Three Little Words) and put all her contest entries in it instead of starting a new story to put them in. I only figured this out as I went into Calibre and changed it to show the latest updated fics and Three Little Words came up. Everything still looks like it should be Three Little words, all the metadata for it and all. But the word count is now much higher and it has 3 chapters. So I went in and clicked on the last page to see what the last sentence is and low & behold it is the last sentence of Contest Entries, "Due Process".

Sadly, I tried to update the Calibre metadata to match that of FFN but it won't change for me. So I guess I'll have to do it manually?

Highlight story, click update, in the show options, click update metadata always or only. My computer is off so im going by memory here.

My daughter has a friend who I always say would make a great Alice - she is 4'9", tiny with an impish face. More along the lines of what I think of when I read about Alice.

That's more like it! Honestly, my lazy way of thinking about Alice is keep Ashley Greene, but just make her shorter. The only person who I've actively thought about replacing is Nikki Reed. And maybe Tanya and Kate, although they're even more minor in my stories.

Yes! Angst is good (so long as it's not just over the top, problem after problem after problem just for the sake of angst), so long as I get my romance and my HEA.

I absolutely agree. IMHO, that's all Dusty is. I tried reading it and had to stop. Angst was waaaaaay over the top.

Even Emancipation Proclamation was sooooo heavy but for me, it was well written and had HEA so it was worth the read.
Oh, and Offside too!

Thanks so much for explaining the level of angst in Dusty. I've read all the stories you mentioned and could get through the angst, even though i wasn't thrilled with the ending of EP. After hearing about Dusty for so long, I actually started reading it yesterday, but have now deleted it. The level of angst you talk about is not for me. I need my HEA darn it!

That being said, does anyone have a favorite HEA story they wish to recommend? I can definitely read angst, but I need my happy place at the end. Thanks!!

I'm sure there are others who love Dusty, as they say, different strokes for different folks.

Regarding The Cullen Legacy, oh boy, it's my #1 favorite fic out there.

I've read it so many times, and have chapters bookmarked as my "go to" place when I need a fix.

Thanks for the link. I go there often for fic recommendations, and am working my way through some lists right now.

Apparently, PTS only lets you quote back so many posts and since I haven't been on in like 4 days, the "Loopy's campaign to trap -coughcough- reel in newbies from the woodwork" is too far back for me to quote.

Anyways.... I thought I'd answer since I'm semi-new to this thread and about 6 months (holy sh*t has it been that long already) on this site.

. Did you see him in August: Osage County with Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep? It wasn't a massive part but that guy is really talented.....That film is up there with Nebraska as one of my favourite films so far this year...
