  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #5 - We are crazy talkers here! Join in the fun!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

That's another interesting thing. How many of us here have tatoos and how many? I know this was asked last year but the spreadsheet wasn't born yet  ;D

Have always been fascinated by them. Wanted to get some on my ankle to cover my scars brought on by my allergies. I no longer wear shorts or skirts or gone swimming since 2007 as the scars really stand out bec am so white (well, chinese white  :P).  But my doctor wouldn't allow me to as it might cause me more allergies.
I've got one...and it's centuries old; I really want to have another but not sure what to get...

Okay, so Flagfic is in the process of moving to a new server company. Until then, or even after then,  Someone on FB found this site.   You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login - I just tried it and it worked on my phone. So it should work for those of you with iPads.  ;D

Beaches and Boardwalks
« Reply #5423 on: March 30, 2014, 06:33 AM »
You ladies might have discussed this previously while I was away but for anyone who has read Beaches and Boardwalks by Jaxon22, I can't have been the only one that it took to the AN in chapter 15 to notice that there might be more than meets the eye to this story? Previously to that I kept thinking, "Huh?" but I never made the stretch to imagine that the narrator might not be the obvious. I have to give it up to Jaxon for a very well written story, as always, and for writing something outside the box, I'm not a huge fan of Drabble but this one was great.

Have 4 and let me just say that tattoos are addicting. If I could afford it I would probably have 20 or more like Loopy. Can't wait to get another one!!
The only reason I have so many is that my eldest brother is a Tattoo Artist that has been running a shop with his best mate for nearly 30 years now.
If I had to pay for them I'd probably have none.  :P :P

It was me, Matron, and I think her name is ruth-somthing or other (sorry!). So glad you enjoyed them! Didn't I say they were different from 'Nora Roberts' books?!

On another note..... I have no tattoos. I want one (if I could ever figure out what to get), but I'm worried about what'll happen as I get older. I don't want to be playing guess the tattoo after I've had kids, or am an octogenarian...

Other than my dislike of needles? This is another concern. What happens when those beasts sag and your little perfect red rose is now this big funny shaped pinkish flower?

Some people have said the shoulder/upper back is a good place as it doesn't sag that much over the years.

My best gay hates needles - when I got my tattoo before he passed out as soon as he saw my brother friend prepping his work station.
Where I'm a bit like Becks (David Beckham) - I find tattoos addictive cos of the pleasure/pain of it.  ;D :P
I know what you mean, the only one of my tattoos that probably won't sag too much is my angel wings on my back. Which is the one I love the most as it has all of my kids names on individual feathers.  :)

I've never read a Nora Roberts' so I can't comment.. :) I'm reading my second one though that might be my lot...I'm liking Raorke; he's no Gideon Cross but he's got a li' sum sum...

I have mine on my shoulder blade so no sag there  :D But for sure as with any ink its faded over time...It also means that, as I can't actually see it, most of the time I forget I even have a tattoo!

Lol, I know what you mean about forgetting you got a tattoo - I often forget the tattoo I have on the inside of my right thigh.  :D

I think a set of wings across my back would be so cool. But I'd probably go with fairy wings. More gossamer and less feathers.  But that's just me  ;)

As far as tatoos, They seem to me to be something I'd regret in a few years, so I've avoided getting them but I do have ideas for 3 or 4.
One of the rare few....

"It's the first time I realize that for all of the significance boy-Edward holds in my past, man-Edward is a stranger to me. The thought is at once liberating and heartbreaking, and I don't know what to do with it: how do you forgive someone who no longer exists? How do you hold a man accountable for a boy's carelessness?"
