This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Ok, I'm in the market for something new to read. After reading Allegiant (Divergent #3) I guess I need light on the angst and heavy on the schmexy! So, some questions...

Does Comp Sem 101 have plenty of lemons? I've heard nothing but positive things about this one... funny, sweet, schmexy.

Tropic of Virgo --- Is he famous in a band or is he a high school kid?

The Blessing and the Curse --- Is this great? It's not vampward, right? Lemony? I'm not really sure what its about but I've heard it recommended here a lot.

There is a Light --- he's famous in this one, right? Did everybody love this one?

Virgins and Villains, Sexy Silk, The Man Who Can't Be Moved --- Are these all REALLY good or are they just another "he's famous, she's not and she thinks she's not good enough for him"? I've read that kind of story so many times I'm tired of it, but when its done right it's great! I'd like to read another Famousward but the last couple I've read haven't been that great. Just ok.

Tropic of Virgo is excellent - one of my favorite fics! Edward is in high school (so is everyone else), and his band is famous only locally, but with a little indie recognition elsewhere (Bella had heard of them when she lived in Phoenix, but they are not getting radio play for example). I love the writing in this fic - beautiful and poetic.

Sexy Silk has a different style but is very fun. Definitely has a Famousward, but Bella cannot stand celebrities and really makes him work for it. She's a bit of a bitch in this fic, but a likeable one I think.

I enjoyed The Man Who Can't Be Moved, but I wouldn't call it great. Sort of on par with Words With Friends - fun but it sort of feels like it goes on and on. I definitely liked it, but don't love it.

Am biased towards actorwards:

The Man who can't be moved is the 2nd fanfic I ever read and loved it. It's in my top 10, not perfect, found it a bit long, but just loved it.

Also loved V&V, also in my top 10

Sexy silk has a diff Bella so i enjoyed that one too.

tropic of virgo is a great HS fic

Comp sem is in my Top 11 (lol)

The rest i haven't read and can't comment.

Kim, if i were you, i would read in this order MWCBM, Comp, VV, ToV then sexy Silk (angsty, sweet/funny, funny/angsty, angsty, funny). You also interchange /mix up the type of wards so hoepfully you don't confuse them/the stories as you read the others

Android has a Calibre Companion - works okay. But you can't download with it only track & read stories that are in your computer version. $:-\$

I used to read Tangled Up in Blue, to be honest I never really liked it

at first the author would update regularly but then somebody mentioned her story on twitter and for a while it was all everybody talked about and I don't wanna be mean but I think it got to her head because she wouldn't update and then they would all be begging for an update, but then something else might of happened .

But it hasn't updated in more that a year and in the last chapter she says she only needs three more chapters. I don't see that going anywhere $:-\$

I had no idea this mofo story wasn't complete! WTF is it even doing in my library!!! Oh I'm hopping right now!

I kept getting closer and closer to the end of the PDF and thinking errr? how is it going to finish in the space left?! SH!T!

The Blessing and the Curse is good. Not really much for lemons, but the drama is great. E is not a vamp, but has that dark brooding going for him. It is one of my favs.

Virgins & Villians is also really good and I enjoyed the companion piece to this that was in Edward's POV.

Ugh. FFDL has one adapter that handles both You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and malfoymanor.grangerenchanted.com/themanor.

This has worked fairly well, since they have the same formatting and FFDL doesn't really like the idea of more than one 'site' on the same domain.

However, it looks like the two sites have separate user accounts.

So for now, at least, the answer is go to which ever site she doesn't have an account on and create one with the same user/pass.

So this maybe why you were having problems. Glad you were able to work it out.

Just updated and it worked!!! Took a bit longer than normal, but I chose Virgins and Villains as my test fic, and didn't realize it was over 2000 pages!!!
