  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #4 - We are crazy talkers here!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

In the US you can buy them canned in Asian markets.  Some Chinese restaurants on LI and NYC have them on their dessert menu too!

If you can't find it I would be happy to mail you a can, PM me!

Thank you,  I will definitely let you know.  I have 2 supermarkets near me and I will check them out.

A little summary for those of us (me) that can read and write English, but not undestand well when someone speaks it, please?  ^-^ ^-^ ^-^

Aw man!  I sooo wish you could watch this episode and understand it.  Watch the beginning of the the 2nd part and you can at least see all their reactions.  It's hilarious.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

A lychee martini is what I'm drinking right now - it is 5:30pm on Friday afternoon. It's not like I'm having one for breakfast!  ;)

I've attached the proper recipe but usually I make a much easier version. I used canned lychees, because fresh ones are only available around December/January.

My lazy version is: Mix 2 tablespoons of the juice/syrup from a can of lychees, 2 tablespoons of lychee liqueur, 3 lychees, a squeeze of lime (I always have lime because I keep them in my freezer), crushed ice in a martini glass, then top up with vodka.

Enjoy! I always do  >:D

Wish there was a way to share food and drinks through the internet.  Thanks Astro I am going to try it.

My physic powers didn't help me win the $20 million lotto this week!

That girl with the policeman certainly had some luck though.

Goodness! I'm glad you're ok. Hasn't it been a terrible year for freak rainstorms? I think almost all of us have been hit this year!

Ddoe, now that we know you're in Toronto, your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to stalk Rob.

And . . . cue theme song:

The end of the school year for us here in Australia is in December, which is also when we get all of the stone fruit and tropical fruit.

So, the last day of the school year is always when I eat cherries, lychees, watermelon, peaches, apricots, etc because that's when they are at their least expensive, and like my mum used to, a lot of current mums will send a big plate in for the end of year parties.

I bought 3 bottles of lychee liqueur this afternoon - it's hard to come by, and I have only found it in one bottle shop here in Rockhampton. My current bottle is getting low, so I made the trek and stocked up.

That should keep me going for a while now - at least till Monday LOL!

I was in Australia last year, at first I  thought a bottle shop is a place where you return your bottles and get back your deposit. :D :-[

I'm laughing so hard right now my belly and sides hurt.  Why? Because Chris O'Dowd is a good girl

I know, right now you're probably like  :sign0137: and  :wtf:, but I shall clarify... a little.  I'm catching up on my Graham Norton shows for the season that just ended and he has Steve Carrell, Kristen Wiig and Chris Dowd on one of the funniest couches.  I don't want to spoil, because you have to watch the the WHOLE show for lots of laughs and you'll see why Booked's question made me laugh while I was watching this show.  It was just perfect timing between catching up on this thread and watching the show at the same time.

I did a search on youtube and this was the best video I could find of this episode to share.  Seriously, you will be

Episode is broken up into 3 parts:

OMG !!! It's not normal to laugh this hard this early in the morning!

I can't stop, I almost missed it.

It's liberating, isn't it?!  :D Now, admit it, don't you feel much lighter, and a little bit naughty, at the same time?  :D :D

And whoever said people who belong to book clubs are a bunch of boring nerds are sooooo wrong. They don't know what they're missing.  ;)
