This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

My deepest condolences on the passing of your dear friend and companion.

My Sony e-reader occasionally (about 4 times in 4 years) likes to freeze up. It has one of those little buttons that used to be on digital watches that you have to stick a pin in, to reset. After freaking out the first time and waiting for hours for the battery to completely run out so that it would shut down, I discovered that pressing the reset button and holding down another button forces it to shut down. When it restarts, it's all good.

If that doesn't work, let it be a lesson to all of us to BACK UP!!!! Don't save everything in one location or one device!

The nice thing about the kindle? It's all backed up because there are only 2 ways to add books -through Amazon or sideloading. So copies abound. I was able to get on so I could remove all the content. Being as how the majority did not come from Amazon LOL!

So.... I'm torn with this fic. I'm still reading the last two chapters.
I really like the plot, Edward and Bella relationship.

But I HATED this James. He is gay, but it's so over the top, so annoying. More people complained about James and he gets a bit more tolerable from the middle of the fic on.
Still, I would skim most of the things related to James. You think Alice is bad? This James is 1000000000x worse than any bullying Alice might have done in any fic.

So just skip anything to do with James and you will be fine.

I just finished Sovereign Fate. Overall I thought it was good but for the period pieces I sometimes have to take a break and read something else.

Me too. Crying. If you don't want crying, you need to skip the epi...it's one of those HEA. It was good though, even with the epi. There are two versions of this story (edited on FF), so I went with the one with lemons on TWCS. A/N states it was inspired by the Tudors show. (Nice banner.) A little unrealistic for the period, but great for fanfiction, this royal couple gets the miracle of love in their pairing and reign.

Hmmm never completed that question . Do you like it?

I do. I like to use it to share videos and photos with my family.
I also like it for documents. If I write something in word on my laptop I save it to my skydrive so I can take it with me on my iPad. Also, if I write something on my iPad in Notes or Pages I save it on the skydrive and can open it and edit it on my laptop.
Overall, it's a nice little in between place that is helpful for sharing between my ipad and my laptop.

I would think that if you can get the skydrive app on your kindle and your phone that it would work the same way.

It's a great place to store pictures and you can have private and shared folders so you can choose what to share and with whom. When you share an individual picture, an entire photo album or a video with someone they get a link emailed to them so that they can access that part of your skydrive you are giving them permissions to so they can see what you've shared.

Also, I create videos (with music, titles, captions, effects, closing credits, etc) and they can get pretty big (some of them are 4-5 minutes long). So, while I have plenty of space to store them on my 1 Terabyte laptop my 32GB ipad does not. I store them on my skydrive and don't have to worry about them taking up any space on my ipad!

Google drive comes with I think, 5gb of storage. Dropbox has less, but it also has lots of ways to earn extra space, and I'm up to about 5gb there too. If you're not already on Dropbox, I can send an invite and get us both free space there. Both apps work quite well on my tablet. There is another called Copy, and I dunno how, but I have like, 22gb of space with them. [ (if you check into it, use this link , I think we both get extra storage if you use it. Thanks for the info! I think I need to get one of these. I take up to much space on my iPad and iPhone with stuff I could save to skydrive.
