This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Okay, this is really embarrassing. I was reading My Shiny Freak - a vamp fic that is a little on the crack fic side. Anyway, it seems Jesus is a vampire. That reborn on the third day? Yeah, you got it. A hippie vampire. Carlisle got him started on the vegetarian way of life, but he is still a little strange. He likes orgies. No one else wants to join him though.

So my Kindle just died by freezing on a page. A page where they are at Bella and Edward's wedding in Volterra. All of the immortals are guests, including Jesus. At right at the top of the page is the line "Jesus shouted "Orgy! Orgy!"'

Ellachanted-- I want to add the fic to my TBR, I don't think this one i found on ff.net is it. Can you let me know?

Yes that is it. I semi rec'd it a few days before. It started out good. Then kind of died in the middle - lots of lemons and Jasper discovers a new ability that makes everyone um happy? But it was a little boring. Then it got better again. I was reading the epi when my kindle died.

it is definitely complete as far as I was concerned. Lots of SPaG errors, but some are really hilarious. Anyway, if you like vampfics with humor, it is good. Skim the middle. It has a decently good ending. Bella gets angry. It was good

Is PoF heavy on angst?

Light and Fluffy, Got it.

I thought PoF was heavy on the angst... I was on the edge of my seat through most of it from what I can remember!

I actually just went and looked up the official definition because sometimes I think I have the word wrong... and yes, PoF=Angst (IMO).

I'm desperate for a new fic to keep me going, as Controlled Burn didn't keep me interested enough to try and finish. I got half way and didn't see anything happening after

I would think that if you can get the skydrive app on your kindle and your phone that it would work the same way.

It's a great place to store pictures and you can have private and shared folders so you can choose what to share and with whom. When you share an individual picture, an entire photo album or a video with someone they get a link emailed to them so that they can access that part of your skydrive you are giving them permissions to so they can see what you've shared.

Also, I create videos (with music, titles, captions, effects, closing credits, etc) and they can get pretty big (some of them are 4-5 minutes long). So, while I have plenty of space to store them on my 1 Terabyte laptop my 32GB ipad does not. I store them on my skydrive and don't have to worry about them taking up any space on my ipad!

well it seems both caliber companion and skydrive are not compatible with kindle fire

Google drive comes with I think, 5gb of storage. Dropbox has less, but it also has lots of ways to earn extra space, and I'm up to about 5gb there too. If you're not already on Dropbox, I can send an invite and get us both free space there. Both apps work quite well on my tablet. There is another called Copy, and I dunno how, but I have like, 22gb of space with them. [ (if you check into it, use this link , I think we both get extra storage if you use it. I can try dropbox not sure if this compatible with my kindle either.

You might want to put some lightning rods on your roof. And cars. And carry one with a rubber handle.

If you're like me and grew up thinking that rubber soled shoes "grounded you" from lightning you'd be sorely disappointed to learn that you'd just have melted rubber shoes after the lightning strike blew them off your feet (socks too sometimes). Well, you'd be dead, but you get my point.

A car is one of the safest places to be as long as you're not touching anything metal when lightning strikes it. The lightning would travel through the metal as it's a great conductor and turn your rubber tires into a mess of goo.

This are some of the amazing things I've learned as lightning is as hot as the sun and rubber doesn't stand a chance!

Is it just me? Or is it really annoying when they change the eye color of the characters. Edward has green eyes or topaz eyes. Not blue. Bella has brown eyes or topaz eyes, not blue. GRRRRR.

This is one of my all-time favourite stories. It deals with some really big issues, and that's why the pacing seems a little slow sometimes. Give it time - it's more than worth it.
