It sounds like BDSM, but it's pretty light.  Although there is a bit of sadism from the bad guys.  It's from EPOV, except at the very end, and Edward's head is a fairly amusing place to be.

I wanted to hit Bella and Edward both a little in the first few chapters.  But mostly, Edward is really sweet.  Bella is not a door mat.  Low on the lemon scale, but they're very affectionate.

I've read several on the list but two really stand out. 1. Art After 5 and its sequel Counterpoint were great! 2. I also really liked Age of Consent. Its taboo subject matter can get a little intense for some. (His Personal Assistant was good, but not nearly as good to me as The Office/Beautiful Bastard. Withering The Ferns was a good short story.)

Art After 5 is one of my FAVS!  You definitely need to read this one. Great characters, great writing.

Withering the Ferns is really good too. Shorter fic but has some great twists.

You need to get Age of Consent from A Different Forest.  The version on ffnet is incomplete.  I started it & realized it was not complete.  By the time I found it on ADF, I moved on. But it started out good.

Thanks for reminding me of this blog! I found it when I first started reading FF, and this is a great first list to go by. I lost it somehow, so thanks for bringing it up. Just reading the list reminded me of fics I forgot loving. I think you've already mentioned reading MotU, WA, HL5, EP, The Office, HA, and CW&IA (If not those are musts from this list). On top of Art after Five (and Counterpoint), I'd suggest also reading The Tutor, The Screamers, Creature of Habit, Tropic of Virgo and Poughkeepsie.

I thought it was a REALLY great list!  I've read MotU (as 50SoG), WA, EP (as Sempre) and The Office (as Beautiful Bastard).   Loved all of them!  (I flounced CWIA, but I think maybe I need to revisit it some day since I only ever hear great things about it)  Thanks for the tips on the others!  I'll be sure and add them!

If I deregister my kindle frommy husbands amazon  acct and activate it on my amazon acct do i loose all my non amazon products from my husbands account?

I'm not sure about your non-amazon stuff...  but I do know that when you reregister it under your new account, you'll lose all the amazon purchased content that was on it with his account.   (you probably already knew that)  I would guess the non-Amazon stuff would be ok, but not sure.

I'm trying to download a copy of Just One of the Boys by tkegl.  I found 3 versions here at PTS and I scrolled to the end and they seem different.   Do you guys know which one is the right one I should have?   Here's the link to them in the index. Also, for future reference where is the best thread to ask this kind of question.   I wasn't sure.

It's easy to check without reading the ending.  Usually there's an author's note or an epilogue.  Or, by the time you actually get to it, you'll have forgotten what it said anyway (right, ella?).

With Tkegl you might be running into different versions with or without added takes. Ch.17 should be the epilogue. In my version, the next chapter is the outtake Baby, Be Mine plus a ch 19 Futuretake And Baby Makes Five.

If the story was downloaded from FF with Flagfic, the title page (pg1) should say complete in the lower left of the blue bar. You can often tell where it was downloaded from on the copyright page (pg2).

I LOVE this story. I can't even tell you how much. It was one of the first fanfics I read, and to this day I reread it once every few months. It sparked my love of Geekward 'cause he's just so cute. You have to read it.
