Didn't I just mention the other day that I was going to limit my TBR list to 40 and read them all before I added anything else?   Well, that's not really working out like I'd planned it.  I stumbled upon this link and noticed she has a lot of the fics I like listed, so I'm guessing I'd like her other recs.   Great summaries too!

I was trying to decide which fic to start next and I randomly started reading Stranger Than Fiction.  I've had it on my kindle forever but just never got around to reading it.   Can I just say that I am blown away by this one?   I'm half way through and just can't get enough of it.  I think this is one I'll read and read again. I loved the Twilight books and  I am Edward-crazy!  The proper/traditional-from-the-books-sweater-wearing-Edward...  And here he is, back!  Only better!

So I decided to go to the bottom of my TBR and lo and behold I ran across quite a few fics that I meant to read, but didn't get around to for one reason or another. Does anyone want to give a shout to any of the fics below for me to read? I tend to like more serious fics that you can sink your teeth into, and I tend not to be too squeamish. I just want to read something really well written. Thanks in advance for your opinion!

Lolashoes trilogy
belladonna1472 - the Cullen Campaign
SexyLexiCullen - Storm trilogy
Lalina - Let's Get Physical
SebastienRobichaud - The Ice Queen and Mister McCarty
Betty Smith - The Gentleman From Washington State

Hi guys, long time no fic!

I'm feeling the urge to get back into fic, but I have a certain thing I'm looking for- that unique Twilight feel. It doesn't have to be vamps necessarily, but I want that feeling that Twilight gave us, young love, fairly in character people, I want dashing and protective Edward, willing to sacrifice his own happiness if need be, shy, sweet Bella, and a definite HEA. I do like angst, so long as it isn't just way OTT.

Some favorites that fit this nicely were CW&IA and Wide Awake.

Any recs for me?

Oh, it'd be REALLY awesome if it was well written and edited, something you wouldn't feel at all bad to spend money on if it were published.

Sideline Collision and Dick for hire is really good. They're not very serious fics though. The storm trilogy by sexylexicullen is also good but I find that the first one is the best, the second one is good as well but the 3rd one (to me) is a bit unnecessary. It's like having 15 seasons of American Idol were it used to be great but they could have stopped before it got bad.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I'd also rec The Screamers and Aha Shake.

Wow 27lb!!!
With my daughter I gained 12 lbs and cried so much about it at the time but I think that was because I was 15 and worried about looking fat!!  ::) ::)
With Saxon I gained 14 lbs which by time I fell pregnant for Topanga-Sway (7 weeks later) I'd only lost about 5 lbs and gained 10!!
So I'm hoping with bump I won't gain too much as I really don't need to and the doctors have told me that I shouldn't either. Lol, I know it was disgusting but at the time it was like the best thing ever, so Mac 'n' Cheese with PB is definitely better.  :D
Eww, my Mum had a craving for coal and rubber when she was pregnant with my 2nd eldest brother!!  :o
I don't get myself, but each to their own.  :) :)
When I was pregnant with Remi Jo I lost 15 pounds at the beginning and vaned 10 pounds total. But the dr was worried about me gaining to much and getting gestational diabetes.

LINK Dishie - In Plain Sight
« Reply #2252 on: August 02, 2013, 02:10 PM »
Just finished Dishie's In Plain Sight, and I honestly wasn't that impressed. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I'm honestly surprised it won June's top finished fic of the month. It probably would have been better as a WIP rather than reading it straight through. I was tempted to flounce about half way through as it was feeling like the plot had stalled out and lemons were being added just to stretch the story. Also a lot of repetition when switching POVs--that drives me a little batty (yes, we read that scene already, no need to repeat it simply to have an alternate POV).  The plot idea was good and even though Edward's a possessive @ss, he's endearing while doing it. Bella was a little annoying. Maybe I'm just in a lull since so many others thought it was great. I'm going to take limomx2 and crystal's option on Dick for Hire next. Maybe that'll perk me up.

I'm reading Stranger than Fiction...   it's canon Edward.   Picks up 6 years after he left her (after he never came back).  Edward is still super protective and all that, but...

I've only read the first two of the lolashoes LYLS trilogy, but they were both wonderful!  I read Sideline Collision and it was good, but not excellent and more of a light read.    TBitRS is up at the top of my list, supposed to be excellent.

SebastienRobichaud - The Ice Queen and Mister McCarty ---  I haven't heard of this one.  Is this the same guy that wrote Gabriel's Inferno?

If you are looking for well written I would avoid anything by johnnboy7 - I haven't finished one of his yet, which is a shame as the summaries always sound good.

Anything by Nolebucgrl is usually well written and entertaining.

I remember enjoying The Cullen Campaign and The Gentleman from Washington State although, they are both political I think.
