This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

So I decided to go to the bottom of my TBR and lo and behold I ran across quite a few fics that I meant to read, but didn't get around to for one reason or another. Does anyone want to give a shout to any of the fics below for me to read? I tend to like more serious fics that you can sink your teeth into, and I tend not to be too squeamish. I just want to read something really well written. Thanks in advance for your opinion!

TalulaBlue - With Teeth

This is a great fic. It was a really tough read, but seeing as you don't mind that I'd say go for it. My heart broke for Edward in it

I've read A perfect Wife, it is pretty gruelling, the worst Charlie and Carlisle I've read in Fan Fiction ever. If you have a faint heart or don't like dark themes/storylines stay away from this

BUT, I have to also say that it is very, very, well written, the author really but some thought into it and similarly to EP it looks at the underbelly of what can be hidden behind close doors.

Lolashoes' trilogy are of the best vampire fics I've read, up there with Grasping Darkness, which I really loved.

I read the first Johnnyboy7 story and though he's really, really in need of a Beta, I have to give him props for trying, bless! The story wasn't terrible; I've read worse.

It was but intense too. Writers! Anyway, how are things with you? How are your kids? What have you been reading I read Lauren's Dear Bella, after Astro recommended it earlier in the week, made me cry! Not a great return to fanfic, let me tell you! First story out the gate made me blubber....

Yes, same writer, but this story fell down in my TBR for some reason. Don't know if it's any good.

It's Emmett and Rosalie and it's a really good shorter fic.

Does anyone else get the giggles when they push the submit button to add a new story to their favorites on TWCS or Twilighted? It tickles me every time.

Lolashoes trilogy IMO, one of those "must read" fanfics - very lemony too.

rmcrms5 - The Perfect Wife A difficult read - I read this early on and as a WIP and it was disturbing, but very good.

Higher has the Pussiest Edward you will ever read . ( I hope my word doesn't get crossed out )

And chop and Change I read about 15 chapters but stopped because it was incomplete, but I heard it took a turn for the worst and it became so horrible.

I'm switching between two stories right now. One is Owenic's January that can be found on the 152 thread from a few days ago. Well, actually I think it is in the index already. Check there first. Canon vamps after the Volturi visit. It is what happens in that January. I'm going to say interesting lemons. I'm enjoying this one.

The other is one of Sexylexicullen's - I think it's The Story of Us? There's 2 so the first one, not the sequel. Edward is a hot doctor, Bella is a surgical tech. They fall in love somewhat quickly. James seems to be a nice guy in this one. Jake is the psycho ex-boyfriend. I'm getting a little bored. Probably why I keep switching. It's written fine. Just slow moving other than their relationship. Not a lot of descriptive lemons either.

I'm actually reading January more & enjoying it. So I would rec that one. There's a funny part when they are on a plane. The flight attendants - both male and female - are trying to pickup on Jake. He's sitting with Renesme and totally missing it. But Edward & Bella are finding it hilarious.

I always wonder if I could read just one story at a time, if I would read faster,?

I'm going to test your theory. I started Edward Cullen Dick for Hire yesterday and just started Let Your Light Shine, switching between the two at ch ends. It feels weird having two sets of E/B in my head. I usually read all of one story (or series) straight through. At least these stories are quite different from one another. I'll let you know how it goes
