  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #4 - We are crazy talkers here!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

There you go, making me imagine how "flexible" you are.

Have to banish pervy thoughts as am off to my Sunday lunch at my mom's. Today, my siblings and I are throwing a party for her 85th bday (which is actually tom). so I will be seeing some of my cousins i havent seen in a while. We made sure the invite was just for our aunts/uncles and our 1st cousins plus their spouses as we are quite a big family (i am the youngest and 42nd cousin, so do the math!). But am sure some will still bring their kids  ;D

Glad this day arrived as my mom has been in and out of the hospital for COPD the past 2 weeks. She's also diabetic, taking daily shots of insulin for several years now. Except for those illness, she is fine and her mind is still as sharp as before. I still give her Mills & Boon books to read  :) We are thankful she reached her 85th as since my dad died 5 yrs ago, she has been saying she is "ready to go anytime". My only wish for her birthday is she doesn't get too sick or suffer during her last days, hopefully several years from now yet.

Have a good time!

Shoot! I wouldn't mind more of that kind of ADD.  My house never gets clean because I always get distracted. So I start one thing, see something elastic do, switch to a third thing, next thing hours have gone by and only a small patch has been cleaned.  And then I'm a perfectionist so when I do clean? It has to be perfect.  Sigh.

So I give up and read. :P. :D :D

This is exactly how I am! Stupid cleaning add

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Booked, I hope you have fun. You have a bigger family than we do, I think. Though I think our moms are the same age.  :) hope your mom has a great birthday.  :)

I sometimes think I should hire a cleaning person to show me how to clean.

But I would need to clean the house first. :D :D :D

Hahaha! I think about getting one to do major cleaning just one time. Then I should be able to keep up with it...right?

When my house gets messy, I have no one to blame but myself - which is why I can't understand why I currently have 2 glasses sitting in the sink.

I mean, if some man was in the house in the middle of the night, why would he just have a glass of water when there was a willing female in the bedroom?  :P

By the end of each term, my house is ready for a really thorough clean (well, my OCD deems it ready!) and I usually have a day of each holiday when I clean top to bottom - ceiling fans, air con filters, light fittings, windows, everything.

It's so nice to sit down at the end of the day and see everything all shiny clean - and it is easy to keep it tidy and clean, at least for a little while.

I hope you and your mum have a wonderful day, celebrating her birthday. 85 is such a milestone.

My mum had a birthday on Thursday. She is now... 69.

And, yep, every time I think of it, I giggle. I texted her this:

and she replied with "Trust you to think of that!"  :D :D :D

All she has is his name, the sound of his voice, his phone and the memories of one night to go on. She doesn't know why she didn't ask for his number. She doesn't know a lot of things but she's willing to find him to get the answers. Could a little spot of luck get her to him before his Paris-bound flight leaves Heathrow airport? Drabble-ish, 1 chapter update a day.

I read this, it's not the best but I liked the plot. It's really short and sweet.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

That's why I liked it.

Although I think the author got herself mixed up because in the A/N of one chapter she said
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

That won't make sense unless you read it. BTW when I started reading this I kept thinking 'OMG this Bella has no idea how one night stands work' here she goes travelling and recruiting her friends to find her one night stand that had disappeared before she woke up'

I'm hating this new ads. It keeps moving my screen. At least on my iPad.
Tho it does know me well. It keeps suggesting free books, half time jobs and studying abroad.

So they definitely know I like to read, am unemployed and have been daydreaming of moving to Canada.

Lol, I'm the slob in my relationship apparently as even though I clean the house daily the hubby still goes around after me and tiding and cleaning as it's never enough for him.  :P :D
Half the time I just don't other dong the jobs properly on purpose, just so he can do it.  :D
Talking of my hubby look what he made me yesterday as a treat as he refuses to give into my Mac'n' Cheese craving.  :)

My gosh Loopy!! You are the luckiest girl in the world! Your husband is a young physical trainer who likes to clean, cook and bake for you?!! Are you sure his brothers aren't "good to go" yet bec i can hear a long line waiting to claim them if they are of the same gene pool and underwent the same household training!  :D

Except for the really young ones - they're still up for grabs.

Lol, he only does it as I can't cook to save my life and it's definitely the safer option if he does it.  :D

I think I lucked out with him as according to his older brothers wives/girlfriends/boyfriends are all useless in the kitchen and around the house, I think the hubby's eldest brother is the only one who knows how to laundry properly.  ;D
I'm so glad that the brother I was suppose to go on the blind date was sick and the hubby took one for the team. :D
As for his younger brothers they are the laziest peeps I've ever met.  >:( ;D

I finished Stranger than Fiction and loved it!   I loved this Edward so much.   I loved their CHristmas presents to each other and the way it ended too.  I would love it if she would write a sequel.   There is so much more they could write about.

Ok folks, Stranger Than Fiction, how long do I have to suffer through Bella screwing Thomas or whatever he is? Not liking that at ALL. Knowing she didn't stay a lonely virgin all along is one thing, actually reading it in detail is another.
As far as I remember it was only a very short part.  I didn't like that either...
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
If I'm wrong on that, someone please correct me.  I may be remembering things just the way I wanted them to be.[/spoiler]

Can someone tell me why it took me so long to read this story?! It is the sweetest story, one of the most heartbreaking Edward I've read, and more surprisingly a really great Bella, I cried like a baby.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
If you haven't read it I highly recommend it, if I had any complaints it would be it's not long enough, Purelyamuse has implied she may write more but...*shrug.  she's a pretty good writer, I'm off to read the rest of her stories.

This was one of my constant self debates. Can a woman (and I stress the word woman, as my mother has made it her life mission to stress that any woman worth her chromosome should have the innate ability to clean like Mrs Mop) living on her own, justify employing a cleaner? Then I looked into it and thought f u c k it! It costs me around £30 a visit or so, hell yes I can justify it! £30 compared to the monotony of having to clean once week, usually on a Saturday, as that is the only day I'd have the time,...throwing money at the problem, was what I did, having quality time off was of more value to me.....
