I have a question for you lovely ladies.  Think about downloading stories.  Do you like to have copies with banners, if they're available?  Would you keep an incomplete copy of a story just to have the banner in your archives, even if you also had a complete copy of the story without a banner?

I'll go first, but don't let my opinion sway you.

I like having pictures of The Pretty One, even if I'm going to end up finishing the story on another copy.

Although I like pictures of the pretty one, I don't necessarily like pics of SAF.  So I don't care that much.

And? I download both ffnet's version and TWCS's version with all the pretty pics. But normally I read the ffnet version on my kindle.  Does that answer your question?

You don't get the pictures with flagfic though, do you?  Only with fanfictiondownloader (or whatever it's called)?

I finished up my Rochelle Allison streak (for now) by reading Sessions and Brighter, Appease, Venture. (Considering how much I liked Starry Eyed Inside, Volition, and Air, I'd say I've joined the RA fan club).

Sessions is a sweet one about how a lover of music and a musician grow into something more. Lots of music references in this appealing story. (Links on her blog of songs).

Brighter, Appease, Venture is 3 stories in one originated from witfit prompts. Each were good, so I rec them all.

Brighter was engaging throughout--nice and light. Edward and Bella meet in St. Croix. The idealic island life made me envious as I read. Sweet. (about 260 pages) Appease was really good. As nanny to Edward's much younger brother and sister, Bella instigates Edward's metamorphasis. Nice character growth. Read it straight through. (about 260 pages). In Venture, Edward and Bella meet on a bus on their way cross country. Only about 40 pages long, it was short and oh so sweet. I wish I got more of these two.

I read on my kobo e-reader, and when it is in sleep mode, the cover of the book I am currently reading is displayed, so I often download with flagfic, and then download the banners separately and input them as the book cover in Calibre under metadata.
I have also been known to make a cover for stories that I can't find anything for - anyone else do that?  Or am I just crazy.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some hot and sexy darkward fics, I'm currently reading Hide and Drink. Canon pairings only please, Edward and Bella as main couple. and I also posted this out there but got no replies really, also looking for stories where they explore their sexual relationship, high school fics and such, like Midnight Desire and Boy in the Red Sweater. I've never been that good at manipulating pics to make covers.  Either that or maybe my picture editor program doesn't work well.  Hmmm.  I'm gonna blame the program.

Err? Helloooo? How do you get Calibre to download covers/banners? That is my bugbear with it, flagfic downloads The Pretty but Calibre doesn't or at least mine doesn't...Ella, you have always been my Calibre guru, hook a sister up! Please.

Ella, what I learned from my experiment is that I definitely can't read two fics at once, but you don't know until you try. So I tried, and mostly failed. It got better when I read a day of this and a day of that, but once I got back to Edward Cullen, Dick for Hire, I couldn't stop reading it.

Action, romance, lemons, and malfunctioning language, EC,DfH was goooood. I should admit though that I unknowingly already had a crush on this guy from when I read You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. The Workshop is one of my favorites, so I loved that FictionFreak95 borrowed and then brought this character to life, and I really liked this B/E together. For those old enough to understand, it was like Moonlighting but with two bad @ss PIs. Awesome! I'm so glad I plucked this from the bottom of my TBR and for the recs you ladies gave encouraging me to read it. Thanks!
