I loved this fic.  Wasn't it "Confession of an under worked peen?


I am trying to figure out what to read now,  I have read PossessiveWard, MilitaryWard, DrWard.  Any suggestions?

LOL! No, he's a private eye - they used to call them private dicks kind of short for a private detective.  Only probably because they usually do a lot of cheating spouse cases, the dick stuck. 

I haven't read that one yet.  Smiminkin or whatever her name is wrote it.  I read another of her's. It was okay.  But I was disappointed with the rushed ending.  I think he is a p0rn star in it..... 

I just read a bunch of Vampwards that were decent to good. I liked Owenic's January - it is in the index if you are interested.  AmateurBoredom123's Enkindle My Soul was okay. I liked some things about it but didn't like others. Sometimes the characters get so angsty over stuff that doesn't seem to be that big of a deal to me.  But then it is a story.  So the drama has to be there.

So are you saying The Workshop has the same Edward?  I will have to check it out.  It's on the TBR list.

Time for some string theory... No, j/k. In The Workshop, Bella hires a private detective who becomes a secondary character. I don't think he is named other than Dick. It seems that FictionFreak95 picked up that character and made it her own Edward in this story.

Ah! That makes some sense I guess  I know there are some fics that pick up characters from other writer's fics usually with an A/N saying how they love that writer and her characters.

Err? Helloooo? How do you get Calibre to download covers/banners? That is my bugbear with it, flagfic downloads The Pretty but Calibre doesn't or at least mine doesn't...Ella, you have always been my Calibre guru, hook a sister up! Please.

For me this Edward is one of my favourites, British (as I am), Northern, sarcastic as all hell with a dark side..right up my street. I loved this fic, of the 100s I've read this stands-out; in my top ten.

I guess I'll move this one up my list...   Even though he has a dark side, is there still a ExB-HEA?

Yes, it has a HEA, and it's on a lot of people's top 10 lists including TwiFic.net's Top Ten AU FanFiction aka Vampward Fics. IDK, maybe I just read it at the wrong time. It just didn't stick with me.

I think the timing of when you read a fic and the kind of mood you are in can really affect whether or not you like a fic...  I'm convinced thats why I didn't like Clipped Wings & Inked Armor...   just read it at the wrong time and it wasn't what I was looking for.

Agreed. I remember the good and often remember the bad, but some just fall in between and get forgotten. CW&IA, to me, is one that is definitely memorable, I really liked it. E/B were both so broken for so long and then there was the kitten who got kudos from me. (I also have a soft spot for Tattward. YUM!) I'll probably give AWTFA another shot someday, though I skimmed it just now to make sure there was a HEA. I was surprised I forgot what I read. Hope you like it!
