This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

I agree with you, and I really enjoyed reading it, too. But the ending was a disappointment, and I'm not sure if a futuretake would sufficiently answer all my questions. To me, it's set up well for a sequel, but it's been a while so I wonder if any more will come of it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Yes! A sequel would be great. And you are probably right. Though she only mentions doing some OS's of the future.

I did like that it dealt with stuff other than Bella or Edward getting abused. Yes, these are bad things to have happened to them, but the "abuse" usually comes across as excessive and unnatural in a lot of these stories. Which is why I rarely read angsty stuff. It is hard to read it when you know you are supposed to feel bad for the person, but you just want to laugh. Really? Every time Bella turns around, someone is trying to attack her?

And yeah, it comes from Twilight. But that was because we all wanted big bad vampire Edward to rescue her.

I think my fav RA fic though is Brighter as I loved Edward as the bar owner in St. Croix.

ohhhh...I forgot about St Croix Edward, so , so sexy. Hell, I'd give up my city girl lifestyle and run away with him anytime...

I'm glad that you're enjoying it - everyone seemed so against it when I started reading it, but I really did love it.

Or Bronze hair and topaz eyes.....or even red eyes sometimes....

I don't know if I have a favorite Edward. WWF/WWS? But then I like the Angel series Edward by drotuno. And really almost any Edward by Nolebucgirl. And of course, Ehd. I loved Ehd from Transcendence. Even if he could only grunt.

And then there is Pennyward, Docward, Tattward, Actorward..... The list goes on and on.

I always use the Twibrary to find things. She adds to it every now and then, but it is not up to date for the most part. Neither is the other one as far as I can tell.

I am slowly adding Wards and Ellas to my Calibre Library. It's hard to update all the metadata when you do mass downloads. Though if I can figure it out, I can do bulk edits of the metadata.

Two great resources ladies, thanks for sharing!

It's been so long since I've looked for recs outside of my TBR folder, which has more than 900 fics in it. Not to mention that I try to keep track of all the fics mentioned by you all (nor all the RL books I have).

So true. I grew up Catholic, but learned how easily people bend the rules of the Catechism (their 'rule' book) to their own needs behind closed doors. Fish isn't for Fridays anymore, they masturbate and have sex using birth control. Sorry, I seem to be venting about hypocrisy and religion, not sure how...Oh yeah, SMeyer. The Queen Bee. I just don't like preachers who say one thing and then do another. I'll get off my soap box now. I'm sure I do things that I don't even realize are hypocritical myself.

I'm like you hun, I'm Catholic but as most of you know I've never followed any of the "rules".
I mean I went to weekly Mass but that was only coz my parents made the whole family go, I also went to a school run by Nus (which I'm sure Astro is convinced borders on St. Trinians!

But I think each to their own when it comes to religion, surgery, lifestyles as long as peeps don't try and force it onto me I'm cool with it.

Anyhoo, that's just my opinion on the matter.

I have the Bronze horseman, on my kindle. LOVE IT so far.

I first read it as a 'book' book so long ago electronic reading devices were what you saw on Star Trek...but I had to re-buy the series for my iPad last year, I re-read them at least once a year. So did I actually, but we called them Nuns!...I was a full-time boarder and it was nothing like St Trinians I don't think there is a single private boarding school in England that resembles that institution.

This is my last post before I start to annoy everyone but I thought I better let Astro (or anyone else who's interested) that I'm giving my hubby away for FREE!!

I went to the gym to today so me and him could have lunch together as the in-laws had Saxon and my daughter was with her Dad.
Anyway, I get there to find out that he bought a new guitar off of one of his clients.
Which is fine but then he starts to sing Mr Big - To Be With You in front of the whole gym to me.
He knows I hate that song.

So I wanna give him away - it doesn't even have to be to a good home, just as long as I don't have to look at him for a while as I know he will at some point soon sing it again just to p*ss me off.
