  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #4 - We are crazy talkers here!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

Hello everyone!

I am sitting outside in the beautiful Norfolk sunshine with crispy shoulders - who would have thought the British sun could be so strong?  That's what I get for wearing a swimsuit to the beach!

I am having a great time but, am missing the banter on here.  I hope you are all keeping well and I will be back after the weekend.

Take care.   :-*

It is truly amazing but we have had a summer this year, with sun, warmth and everything.  Well those of us in the south, the rest have not fared so well.   :-*

So, I'm a tad obsessed with Thief of Hearts and I might have gotten a little excited when I got this alert.

Have you read 12 Days of Christmas by PR? Also good, and it's not very long...

This is so far my favorite college fanfic, it really is. I've read it so many times and it always make me feels funny, I only wish there was a future-take to see how this two turned out.

But other than that I love it.
Does Sleep on the Floor have an HEA?   I'm reading the third Bronze Horseman book right now and after this I'm going to need nothing but fluff!

You guys have me wondering about Thief of Hearts now...     Is there an ExB HEA?     I'm trying so hard to keep my TBR list under 50 but you guys are making it difficult.   :D   Think I need to add this and the Cullen Legacy! :)

The other FBIward we've all been reading and discussing is from Thief of Hearts by Pattyrose. It's on the index.

I am really loving this one - like fangirl loving it!!

I FLOVED that one.  I finished it Friday Night i believe.  Right now I am reading The Real life of E.A. Masen.

Oh, I loved that! I thought Edward was so funny. Realistic too!

I'm still reading all the DTE entries--what a range! Some are really good and others...not so much.

I seem to remember it had an HEA - I normally only read HEA's unless it is a OS.  Can't stand extended angst.   ;D

TOH has an HEA, but its such a tight paced thriller of a fic you might want to read 12 Days Of Christmas by PR after TBH, not so long and pretty light-ish...I'm now reading The Geheime Vernietiging  (I think TOH is better, though this is good) I finished Breakaway Bella by Hoodfabulous yesterday, it was 'blah', not really my kind of fic, not enough...depth? Maybe? Hood tried, bless her, to give it tension and drama but after TOH? Yeah, lost cause...

For anyone who does mind reading non canon, you should give I See Dead People by bloodyblond a go. It is a WIP but really funny.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
I'm not a big non-canon person.  Mostly because I don't really get excited over blondes.  And Jasper and Carlisle are blondes.  I could never think of Emmett as anything other than a big brother.

But this does start out well.  ;D

It has ZERO angst. It's just fluff and humor and cuteness.

I flounced Breakaway Bella-- I thought is was annoying juvenile and I hated bouncing, clapping, stereotypical Alice.   I also flounced The Geheime Vernietiging-- it wasn't as good as I expected and there are too many great fics out there.

I really like ToH and am currently reading Through the Flames by SparklingTwilight.  A really well written Firefighterward.  Lots of depth to these characters, written in third person.

One fateful night, 29y/o Edward must make the decision that haunts every firefighter's worst nightmares. In choosing between his life and that of another, life altering repercussions arise. Rated M. Contains graphic descriptions of fire. HF Warning.

Oh, I really liked Breakaway Bella, but reading after ToH is a tough act to follow! Not sure what is good enough after ToH... Guess that's why I'm in one-shotville right now.
