This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Just been having a quick read on it and apparently we "battle" each other and when someone "attacks" you a certain amount you "die".
In everyone's profile there is an attack "button" and it looks like this:

I'm sure that we've all though about killing someone on here at one time or another.

Well in the game there is a graveyard and you can pay a small amount of gold to revive people.

Well in the game there is a graveyard and you can pay a small amount of gold to revive people.

Oh that sounds quite cool - I take it we'd be kind of like zombies and who doesn't love them.

I've been playing this game since last week. It's quite silly but very addicting.

Once you click Battle at the top of the screen, you will have some Navigation options on screen left. The object is to Explore and kill monsters by tapping different areas of the game area. You'll also meet some "people" who will offer gold or energy in exchange for gold and other things. You don't have to Battle other players though. You'll also want to go to the Shop to use your money to buy health, stamina, etc when they get low from fighting monsters. It's similar to a RPG in that you have stats but it's like a very Lite version.

If you tap on the Home button, under Game Stats you'll see that i am a Top Monster Slayer and a Top Battler by Gold.

Well I've never played a RPG outside of the bedroom or play room so I'll probably pass on it.

So, I just went into detective mode.

I've seen the rec for a new book (German) book, and the summary sounded a lot like it could have been a fanfic.

Summary short, some Issy wants to open a cupcake shop with her 2 girlfriends and needs help from/falls in love with Austin.... blablabla

Author was Lizzie Beacon. Well, never heard of her, never published anything else, completely unknown outside of Germany. BUT it was a translated book, she lives in London...

Long surfing story short, for some reason well-known british chick-lit author Jenny Colgan wanted to publish her novel "Meet me at the Cupcake Cafe" under another name.

So, no fanfic here.

But I don't get it, why she would to that? She has other novels published under Jenny Colgan here.

Has anyone read Shattered Pieces by Kitkat681 It's drabble, of which I'm not a huge fan...actually if I see a drabble story I tend to not even download it, but somehow this made it's way into my library. It's angsty

If this had been a multi-chap, full length fic it would have been so, so good but, as it is, the writing is pretty solid and the premise is plausible once the plot unfolds but because it's only 46 chapters, which for a drabble is pretty short, there's not enough time to properly get invested in the story and feel the full impact.Still, worth a read if you're sitting on public transport commuting to or from work....3*

Now, I need some help, I've got a fic in my library called Taken In by an author called Faldo (?). This is the summary
Movie star/director Edward Cullen is arrested for the murder of his wife. Long time fan Bella gets caught up in his daring escape from prison. Is he guilty?
Now, I laughed/giggled/snorted when I read that, is that a good or bad sign? And if anyone has read it can you give me a heads up if I should go ahead and read it? Ta very moocho

I think the point is that you need to waste some time. Tap, tap,tap.

Watch your experience points-- you can level up on the Home screen once you get enough points.

I went to the battle link, and clicked on the how to play, this is what it said

Battle is the simplest browser based game possible. It simply lets users fight Monsters or each other in a 1-click battle. Monsters are created by the administrator and battles are weight by the user's skill points and the Monsters skill points.

How to play
For starters, you probably want to explore to get a jump on everything.
Exploring is simple, just click on a tile for something random, you might encounter a monster, or get another explore action.
After exploring and gaining some levels you can then do much more, such as do more Quests, and battle other Members that are your level!

Outstanding ... because I don't quite have enough addictions!
