This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Ella - Did you read The Cliffs by bornonhalloween? If you haven't, I think you'd like it.

I started it, but ended up reading Touching Solitude. I will go back to it. I have liked BornonHalloween's stories. It just wasn't grabbing me. But then sometimes that happens...

It's too early in the morning where I am for detective work! She also says on LiveJournal that:

Wow, just wow! It's been a long time since reading smut and lemons felt so good!!!!

Before that I finished And With Thee Fade Away and liked it very much! Brought back a bit of that first Twilight feeling! Very interesting plot.

I read Woodcroft Station then and also liked it a lot, but I wish it'd be longer. It felt a little rushed for me. But it is practically a O/S after all.

I was mostly MIA the last days because I was soooo busy with reading! A good friend recommended The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare and I devoured the first book "City Of Bones". And again I got that original Twilight feeling back. Maybe not as strong, but you can't compare those two. City of Bones has much more action and fights than Twilight and an interesting twist at the end. I'm diving right into book 2 now and I hope I don't get lost! It's really a great fantastically shaped world!

I even consider going to the movies next week and watch the film. That's rare for me! But Clare and Jace have me hooked and hubs agreed to watch it with me.

I think he doesn't know what he's getting into.

I also really enjoyed The Mortal Instruments... Well, I should say that I loved the first 3 books but was disappointed with the 4th and haven't read any since then. The 4th had a really dark subject that is a sensitive topic with me and overall I just felt like it was nicely completed with just the 3 books. I then read the Clockwork book that is sort of a prequel, but only read the first one. Can't remember the title. I still haven't seen TMI in theaters but I'd like to! I'm sure its great.

I hope you're feeling better Astro....I totally missed what happened last week but am so glad you're on your way to a better place.

And how awful about how 107yearoldvirgin has been treated. I do not understand that kind of pettiness and immaturity in any age....in adults especially. I'm so thankful and grateful to authors for sharing their stories that I just could not imagine acting the way that apparently some have acted towards her (and other authors, I'm sure). I just don't understand. Didn't everyone get their fill of dealing with teasing and bullies while in school? It's pathetic, really.

God, I'm finally caught up. Seems as though the school year is in full swing, homework for both kids each night, sports practices and games and all kinds of festivals and school functions. Add in the fact that it took me more than a week to straighten out my calibre library (and it's still not done) I don't even have time to read. And my OCD will not allow me to just say 'screw it, the library is good enough"

ETA: Anyone having any issues with adding fics to favorites on ffn? I haven't been able to for days....get the message that they are unable to process my request or something like that.

ETA: nevermind. Issue fixed itself when I logged out and then back in again.
