This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

I know I've been very absent here lately. But how did I miss we had a guy here?

He uses his real name on Facebook. So when he asked to join the "Where did our PTS go and the withdrawal symptoms are hitting" group, it came up.

Booked then had to cime up with new categories for her spreadsheet.

I do use my real name on Facebook and I do that because it has already been compromised, so in a twisted way I'd like to consolidate things. I do have a fandom Facebook account that's registered, but I don't use it.

It's almost 1:30 am and i can't put down this book! I truly love her writing! I can't help but picture ExB in the story. Arrgghh, 1 more chapter then i will really go to sleep...

That's good to hear. Too many do. And frankly there are some real weirdos in this fandom - though so far none of them have made it to here as far as I can tell (they may lurk). But I've seen them on FB and you really don't want them to know your name.

And I understand having a FB account for close friends and family to share pics and stuff.

Ella - there are real weirdos in any fandom. God knows, there were some real winners in Star Trek fandom while I was there. I assume there still are but I'm not there to put up with them. There are definitely some in Twilight fandom - most of my exposure has been on Twilighted. Until now, I haven't spent a lot of time on other twilight sites other than Twilighted and this one. I get some 3rd hand exposure when people start discussing someone in particular and think I'm glad I don't know more. We get a fair number on InDeath but they don't have a tendency to stay - they end up coming up against either a moderator or AJ (who cancels their membership - we used to have a membership listing called jailbird with an avatar of a cartoon felon in a striped uniform behind bars but we haven't used it in awhile -they could read but couldn't post) or they run into a very vocal longterm member who takes exception to someone coming in and trying to run things their way (wrong move). We did have someone who tried to turn us in to the FBI but it backfired on her and she got investigated instead. One of the moderators has a friend who's an FBI agent.

I know I don't post here much but I am a loyal lurker. I am burnt out like most of you on here and looking for an amazing fanfic like wide awake and ep. I don't mind long stories, or angst. Just love a good Bella and Edward story that ends in a HEA. I have read a lot of the most known stories and just trying to find something that draws me in to read til I have to stop and pee or I fall asleep with my ipad against my face lol. A few favs from you lovely ladies would make my day. Thanks so much for always keeping me entertained with your banter. Love it!!!

On the subject to P2P and fic in general, there are several stories that I have flounced or that I have no idea why they are so popular. I am currently reading (or well almost finished) Our Yellow House by CaraNo. It's very well written, but I just feel there are certain things that are a bit too optimistic for my liking.

The subject matter and writing style just don't mesh.

She does better with Close Your Eyes...but just barely. I think its best to stick to reading her light-hearted fic rather than her 'angsty' ones...I like CaraNo's writing/stories its just angst isn't her strong suit...

Let us know the moment you finish this one!! It's $2.99 on Amazon and I'm about to fork over the dollars without any reviews just because I love her so much. What is In Death? Does it have anything to do with Light and Wine? or am I just confused?

How do I sign up? Is this the same one where I was warned about drinking the koolaid?

I finished it in an hour...It's a novella so....I've read 2 ( or was it 3) more In Deaths (murder mystery series which seems, at the moment, as if it'll never end! Nothing to do with L&W) since.

I loved it but I'd steer anyone who is religious (particularly established religion) or for whom a large age gap is a trigger away from reading this.(Lacie is a teenager and Marc, well, he ain't) It does push plenty of buttons to the very limit, to the altar and away again....But the writing is superb and YG lyricism is in full force. This is a tale for Disciples; I doubt anyone but a real fan of hers will be particularly enthusiastic.
