I think my last post was May. It's going to take me awhile to get back in the swing of things.  My youngest son (almost 20) was in a bad car accident while traveling home for Mother's Day. My call came from the hospital over an hr away that he was medovac via helicopter. I hope none of you ever, ever, experience that kind of call. I was home alone.  Hubs was on a flight inbound from Brazil.

Not gonna bore you with all the details, but after awhile in ICU, several surgeries, and even longer in the hospital, he is home and healing.  Suppose to go back to the hospital Monday and we are hoping for progression from a walker to a cane. They have already given him the ok to return to the university but I have to admit, I am feeling a little clingy and don't want to see him go.

I hope everyone's summer has been better than mine.

Miss everyone. Feels like my world is upside down.

That is just...I've no words! I'm so sorry to hear that RDM, I can't imagine....I hope things just get better from now on, and I'd think 'clingy' is an emotion one would expect and understand.

Thinking of you.

I think it may have come about because DR was discussing life after HP. The interviewer said something to DR about how Rob has been able to get roles after Twilight. And that's when DR dissed him. Basically saying the only reason he gets the roles are his looks and not his acting.  He may not have meant for it to sound the way it did, but it came out really bad. Like he was jealous of Rob's success or more likely the attention Rob would get. DR doesn't get thebig crowds now that he's not HP anymore. I saw a part of the interview on YouTube.

So I'm going to not say anything more on this I think. I haven't seen him in anything but HP so I really can't judge his acting.  Truthfully, I prefer David Tennant over both.  But that's my Whovian coming out.  Okay maybe David and Rob are tied.  :D

Love David Tennant. Have you watch Broadchurch? He's absolutely bloody brilliant in that.

No, not yet. I'm kind of limited to BBCA and PBS for British television shows.  I will try your link though. Thanks!   :-*

It was actually on BBCA a few months ago. I liked what I saw, I need to finish it up though. I wonder if it's on Netflix yet?

You guys are making me jealous. The only way I get to watch David Tenant in his awesome glory is if I spend hours downloading or streaming stuff online. Why does my country not care about David?? I want to move!

Oh!  How did I miss that?  Nope, not on Netflix. At least not yet.  Though there are some movies and other things he is in on there. I will have to check them out.  ;)

Scary situation, but glad to hear he is on the mend, and I hope his recovery continues to progress well.

Wow! That must have been super scary!  :'( Really glad he is healing well. I too would be anxious to see him leave home after such an experience. Will also include your family and your son's full recovery in my prayers.

Take care of yourself too!  :-*

Yeah, he's slight 'off' in Broadchurch, but he's soooo good! It's won all sorts of awards here and they're starting to film a new series any day now. I'm not a Dr Who fan so, I've only watched him in non-Who roles but I know he is a lot of peoples favourite Dr....

That link shoudl work like magic it does for me and as I have Ad Bloc on my computer it the best thing that's happened to me since...Well, let's just say I cancelled my Sky TV account.

So, wait. BBCA shows programmes originally shown on other networks in the UK? That is so weird....Here that would never happen, it's like PPS screening ABC's shows. Is that also where you see Downton Abbey?

Downton Abbey is shown on local PBS stations.  (Public Broadcasting Stations) - depending on where you live, its possible to have more than one PBS station on your tv (I've got a Maine PBS station and one out of New Hampshire - and they don't necessarily have the same programming - although with Downton Abbey it would get shown on both stations at the same time.  Dr, Who used to show on PBS but with the arrival of BBC on Cable, its now found there.).  We get Downton after you guys get it in Britain - which means thanks to the internet - everybody already knows what is going to happen if you follow spoilers.  Zap2it used to put up Downton Abbey spoilers every week after it was shown in Britain and I would supply them to a fellow member of InDeath.net who is a huge DA fan and who had no problem with spoilers.

I'm going to put my hand up (embarrassingly) and admit that The Tutor (though HS and at time silly) is up there in my top 20 fic, I have no idea why, but it just is....

I have to agree with you FFG. I also saw him on stage here...and he did a bloody good job (and I'll admit, I went in with all my anti-HP prejudice firmly strapped on my shoulder ready to sneer).  It's a hell of a lot harder to do well on stage when no one can yell "cut" and you redo the scene a billion time until you get it right. And the play was Equus  :o  :wtf:
I sometimes swear that we share a brain.  :D :D
The Tutor is definitely in my top 20 as well but if you were to ask me why I couldn't tell ya.  :D :D

I went to see Equss as well but when I went Alfie Allen had taken over DR's role - he was brilliant.  :)

Hiya hun,
I am so sorry to hear about your son, so glad that he is on the mend now though.  :-* :-*

I'm still a bit clingy now - 2 years after my daughter was knocked down by a car, so I totally understand where you're coming from and it's a mother's prerogative to be clingy with their kids.  :)
Take care hun and we're all here for you.  :-* :-* :-*

I do the same thing - someone mentioned a fic on here a while ago and I knew I'd read it but like you clicked the link and then I had to re-read it and realised it wasn't the same on I thought it was and it took me weeks to find the one I had been thinking of which meant I had to re-read that one as well.  :-[ :-[ :P :P
