Ohhhh I remember you guys talking about that movie! Hmm, I wonder if you can get it on Netflix?    If she threatens to boot me then I'll go looking for something shiny to post! :)  Thanks for the tip!
 :-*
You might be able to get it on netflix if not I'm sure it's online somewhere. It's a great film, even if you don't fancy Mike (yep, Mrs Fassy I went there  :P :P) it's still worth watching as he's an amazing actor.
Lol, well it's working for me when I show her pics and vids of him.  :D :D

I'm around 3/4 finished with Dusty...
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
It's hard to read!  I've never had this issue before, but when I read this I am finding myself looking at it from Renee's point of view.   Typically these young love stories have me reminiscing about my own high school days, but this is just so tragic.   I can't imagine being Bliss' mom and not knowing that all that was going on.  It's simply the most destructive relationship ever and as foreign as all the hard drugs are to me I know that this is real and there are so many young girls that get stuck in these codependent relationships. (I was caught up in one of those relationships for many years through high school and some after! Glad I didn't end up marrying that guy!)

I agree that Dusty would have probably been easier to take as a WIP...  it's just somewhat overwhelming when you read huge chunks in a row.   With that being said, at this point I'm still glad that I'm reading it because I can definitely understand all the strong feelings for this fic now!   I'm probably going to have to read the published version now too.

Thanks for mentioning Aha Shake...  Strange title, but I am going to need to read this one too!  I think this was on Demaris' favorites list too.
I wondered what you meant when you said that it had the alternating POVs because I hadn't noticed it and was confused. ;-)   I thought Trippin' Slippin' was simply the most beautiful story ever...   probably the best thing I've read ever.   Which did you like better, TSTS or Aha Shake?

Oh kimmie you are in the very belly of the beast now! I do feel for you....It gets hella worse before it, kinda, gets better....notice I use the word 'kinda'. I read 19 chapters (which had been posted when I found it ) and then went cold turkey until it completed. I couldn't take the drip feeding, it would have driven me mad. As soon as you finish Dusty ( and you've wiped your eyes and decongested your nose) download and read Aha Shakes....you'll find a review on my Goodread profile..it's a fairly short fic and so funny it'll blow away the Dusty Blues, I promise. I loved The Worse of Weather and Rose Like Thunder (both POVs), but, as I've said on a numerous of occasions, I'm a fully paid up member of YG's cult. And I love Trippin more than anything.

Lol, I wanna live where you live hun as even though we're living nearer to a city than we ever have before all I ever see is Farmers.
I love a dude in a suit. I'd do the same hun, and wonder what size he is etc, though I'm not too bothered if guys are cut or not.  :D :DIf Booked doesn't take you up on your offer I will, especially if you line up any guys that are anything like Mr Prince Albert.  :D :D :D  :P :P
I would of never of guessed that you've got a thing for Fassy.  :o :o :P :P
I know!!! I love The Summer Winds - my parents are massive Sinatra fans so I grew up listening to it loads.

I don't know I'd quite like a bit of Farmer Joe...I always imagine them to be buff and manly with large.....hands  :P

Loopy Lou you are welcome to come visit me anytime, honestly.  :-*  I'll line up Prince Albert himself, with you there I might not be so chicken sh!t about asking to see it! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I know, I've been very subtle about my attraction to Fassy but honestly I couldn't keep it in for one more moment !!!! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login I'm a huge Sinatra fan and The Summer Winds as to be one of my favourites.

It's from Shame (full frontal within the first 2 minutes!!). Mrs Fassy might threaten to kick you out but just show her a pic of the hubby and you'll be fine. It's like the magpie effect.  :D :D :D

Sadly, published books also have SPaGs. You'd think they would review it better if they expect people to pay for it.  ;D
This is why am also more forgiving of fanfic writers. They do it for free so i don't mind the mistakes so much. They'll definitely get an eye roll, "sheesh", snicker or laugh from me. Real books, i eye roll and exhale slowly to get rid being pissed off.

The scanning software that takes older published books and turns them into ebooks has a problem reading "arms", it reads it as another 4 letter word that starts with a and ends with s and makes for some funny mistakes.

Well, today was Eurovision Song Contest....

My lovely European ladies, what did you think of the winner?

Congrats to Austria... I really hoped the Netherlands would win...

My favorite was Iceland, but the Netherlands was pretty good too.  The Austrian comentator was pretty surprised when Austria started getting high points from several countries, and I could hear people cheering out the window with each score.

My husband had to fly out today at the same time that Conchita was arriving back, and he said there was a huge crowd and confetti.

To those wondering what Eurovision is - it is a combination of American Idol and the UN, each country has a singer or group/song but you can't vote for your own country so sometimes the voting can be political.

I'll probably read the published version, too! Most likely to see what changes they felt needed to be made and if it helped the story at all. I have a real hard time letting go of the logic I have now as someone in my late 20's, so it's just difficult for me to find reason in their whole secret relationship. Yeah it would suck if I thought my brother was a loser, but I wouldn't begrudge any of my friends for wanting to date him, I'd just give her forewarning that he's an idiot and likely to hurt her so good luck to her. Dusty reads like the kind of time I wished to have when I was a teenager, but now that I'm a little older with some years under my belt I'm so glad I didn't turn out that way. I wanted to go to all the parties and hang out with the cool kids, but my mom kept me in and was nosy about all of my friends. There's mention of that in the beginning of the story when Renee starts to question Bella spending so much time with this other family, but eventually they just give up? LOL even when I turned 18 and legally an adult, I still had my mom questioning my group of friends and whether or not they were a good influence on me. Thanks, Mom!  :-*

Aha Shake! I've re-read it twice at this point! TSTS is great and beautifully written, but it's just easier for me to get into something that's humorous.

I was getting all into that story at one point, but the "Italian" was killing me. Something is written in Italian, followed by the translation. I just don't get why it can't be written that the characters are speaking Italian? IDK is that weird? I don't think I've ever read anything that includes another language. It's only in fanfiction that I see it. As if it adds to the story and makes it more authentic? In a published book it would be something like "Edward tells me he loves me in perfectly fluent Italian" or just a mention that they're speaking a different language, because what I'm reading is English.

I think comparing it to American Idol is a bit.....optimistic? Every year, when I hear Eurovision mention, I experience the same surprise that this event is still being held. It's a little like Ms World; something that should have gone the way of the Dodo but hasn't, go figure?! But maybe its just us Brits that take the piss. Literally the one sure way to torpedo your singing career here is to just stick your neck out and sing for Britain at Eurovison, you will never be heard/seen again.  Plus this years UK contestant almost sat in Fassy's lap, so she certainly should go swim with the fishes...You are not allowed to view links. I can see how that could throw you, I'm fortunate because I speak Italian so...if anything its some of the grammar that get me, though it's not terrible considering CaraNo is Swedish, in fact I have to give her props!  I find it more difficult to read the words that are meant to depict a 'New York-Italian accent' i.e. "Fuhgeddaboudit!" I mean, really, what?  ???

Thanks for mentioning this alternate POV book by Tammara Webber! Easy is one of my favorite books and I loved Landon/Lucas so I will definitely be reading this soon.  I really loved Losing Hope and also the last book in the Slammed series because it was so nice revisiting those stories after it had been so long since I originally read them.  Though, both of those did add a good bit of new material too.   I still haven't read the Travis' POV for Beautiful Disaster but I've heard good things about it.

Talk about a roller coaster!    Oh and I'm a fluff lady!  I love fluff! Extra sugary sweet fluff!   But, I think a dose of Dusty will just make me appreciate my happy endings all the more.
I had been heeding the warnings and refused to even consider reading Dusty...  but I read Trippin' Slippin' and just had to read more Yellowglue!   Her writing blows me away!

Going to post my reply in spoiler text just in case some plan on reading it later...

SP&G!!!!!  I am sure I am not alone in thinking that if you can't proofread your summary, it doesn't bode well for your story?

You are not alone in thinking that. In fact I've now got so many stories to read that I've come to the point that if the summary as a SP&G I don't bother to read it.....at this point in my Twific journey I can afford to be picky  :D

I don't usually read those alt POV stories, but I read the Landon/Lucas book the day it came out, and I really loved it. I felt like it added a LOT to the story! I started the alt POV for Slammed, but got bored, and I never bothered with Travis' POV on Beautiful Disaster, reviews didn't make it seem worth the time, that it didn't add much new information.

Has anyone here read the pubbed version of Clipped Wings/Inked Armor yet? I know the prequel, part 1, and a side story are out already, with part 2 due out this week sometimes, and I was wondering how much was changed, if the story was maybe tightened up any.

Errr? I....Errr? Well...Mmm? I might have *coughflouncedcough* CWI&A; I keep meaning to go back but honestly, after FFG was struggling to finish too I realised I just can't be bothered....

Also I wish I could flounce Grand! I'm really not enjoying this story at all... :(

I haven't...   I'm about to start chapter 36, so 3 chapters left.  (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login)  Things just took a major nose dive!  :(

Kimmie, I feel slightly guilty  :-\ But it's worth it, right? The angst? Isn't the writing/storytelling superb?!
