Has anyone heard from Booked lately? Just wondering if all is back to normal for her.
This was my favorite angsty drabble. I thought it was fairly well done for a drabble fic. It also had an EPOV that she started posting. I don't know if the EPOV will stand alone, but you can read just the BPOV one without the EPOV one, if that makes sense. Learning To Let Go By: lvtwilight09 You are not allowed to view links. Surprises By: EmziBob Jessica comes home after a 3 year trip expecting Edward to be waiting to marry her, but she is in for quite the surprise.Rated: Fiction T - English - Humor - Bella, Edward - Chapters: 5 - Words: 6,069 - Reviews: 115 - Favs: 143 - Follows: 145 - Updated: May 13, 2013 - Published: Jun 23, 2012 - id: 8247349So, this was a story search on the 152 thread and I thought it sounded like a pretty good story, so I PM'd the author and below are her reponses. I will be posting again but it won't be anytime soon I'm afraid It hasn't been updated in over a year because I did have the entire story written on an old laptop which was stolen.. I'm having to re-write it and have had a lot of trouble getting back into the flow of it seeing as I wrote the entire story in 3 days the first time around. Things just don't seem to be going back in the right order and I am constantly going back and adding bits to older chapters that I had forgotten until writing the next one All I can say at the moment is it has not been abandoned or forgotten.Thanks,Emz.By all means, pass the world along! lol I've had a few messages about this story but I am loathe to do an authors note about it. I know how disappointing it is getting a story update only to find out it's an authors note lol The only other thing I will say at this time is there will be no more updates until it is complete so once I am done there will be 2 chapters a week uploaded until it's finished..... no more long assed waits once it gets going again :p
Not since she discovered how to use her Hotspot on her laptop......That's cheating! Bella loses an Edward, but whoops! It's OK because it's only his twin? So, yeah! HEA all round? Nah. This also sounds like angst to me Ella? And its your favourite? Are you shedding your fluffy coat? Hmmm.... Where's did I put my external hard-drive?....You are not allowed to view links. More people need to learn about always backing up their stuff! I have my ebooks saved on my laptop and several different clouds, just to be safe.
Attached to PA perhaps? Sorry couldn't help myself...I know it's off limits .....I won't do it again?
The dead husband had blue eyes.
I couldn't agree more with you hun.And always back-up your back-up, I learnt this the hard way when my External HD decided to die on me a few years ago, so now I've got back-up books/fics etc on Ext-HD, several online storage places and all burnt onto CDs so that if any of my other methods cock up I've always got a back-up and with over 40,000 ebooks and over 10,000 fics it's needed.
Oh well. That's OK then!.... I know we've discussed this (I was paying no attention at the time ) but what Cloud would you say is the easiest to connect, navigate and manage content on?

I've been using SkyDrive, but it makes me mad cause it won't recognize epubs. I saved an epub to the drive and tried to open it up on my phone, and it wouldn't let me (said there wasn't an application that could perform that actions--bullsh*t!). Is Google Drive any better?
I can download epubs without a problem from Google drive and can open on my phone with an epub reader. Is that what you wanted to know? It's fine for storage. Not good as a calibre library.
Well, ever since I got a tablet, I've been using calibre and mobi for the kindle app (thanks, ella). I download all of my books/fics/music/etc. on my phone, tablet, and laptop. Whatever one I download something on, I download it on the others. I haven't used the skydrive since I started using calibre. But like, if my laptop crashes, does calibre back it up online somewhere? Or am I SOL?
Yeah, I'm just looking for somewhere to store stuff (not replace my Calibre library). I have an external hard drive (WD My Passport for Macs) which has capacity for 1TB worth of data but Loopy mentioning her external HD going kaput made me think I should maybe back up to a cloud as well...How much space does your Google drive give you Ella? I might have a look at iCloud too, anyone use that?
I think it was 15GBs including email. But it's easy to open multiple accounts. I have around 3 right now.
Warning: This is not a "typical love story". This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It’s intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn’t happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops—with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache—over the span of a lifetime. Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she’s a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club—but that’s where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself—a man worthy of love—and Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can’t live without. This is Eva and Deuce’s story. It wasn’t easy. Nothing worth doing ever is.And love is worth everything.
Currently midway through a series of books called "Signal Bend" about a motorcycle club by Susan Fanetti. I got the bug reading one that Kristen Ashley wrote that was a very quick read. Anyway, I had to get past my aversion to one character that's described as having long dark hair that keeps braided down his back. There have been so many times I've flounced something because the physical characteristics annoy me, because I know I'll get tired of reading how sexy someone's whatever~ is. I got past it and now I'm on my way to the fifth book in the series! I really like them. The first book, Move The Sun, was extremely raunchy. I think there's a lemon every chapter, and the characters are really aggressive After the second book, the main POV shifts to another couple and everything has seemed much tamer in comparison. I'm somewhat new to the adult romance genre and have noticed it's really common for a series to get a book with each characters POV. Sometimes I have no interest in the characters and feel like I'll miss out on something if I don't read that book, so that sucks :/But the most popular motorcycle club series that I've found on Goodreads is the "Undeniable" series by Madeline Sheehan. I have no desire to read the series personally, especially after reading some of the spoilers and seeing how reviewers have left nasty comments on other reviews for entirely different motorcycle club books. It kind of sounds like the never ending soap opera angst that Ella mentioned. But I'm curious if any of you have read the series?
I think the separate books from each POV thing actually started in fanfic. I've been reading romance for over 30 years, and it's just been in the past three or four years, if that, that authors have started putting out two books for each story. I think they just see more money in it, with not a lot more effort.
Hello!I just popped on (even though I've been lurking sporadically) to say thank you to Booked for recommending Amy Noelle's second book.I haven't read a decent fic for a while but hadn't actually read anything for over a month!I hope things are improving fo RDMickey and Booked and that everyone else is okay.Take care.x
If you're looking for an MC series, maybe try Stephanie Tyler's Defiance or Skull Creek series. I haven't read these, but I have read her M/M books written as S.E. Jakes, and I know she's a fabulous author.I've also heard good things about that Reaper's series by Joanna Wylde.I think the separate books from each POV thing actually started in fanfic.
