Cheryl Cole wasn't on Dancing or at least I don't think she was a contestant and I do watch Dancing. If she was a contestant, she didn't last long and went off early. Aren't Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene great! I prefer Caleb tho. He was on a PBS special hosted by Joe Montagne and Gary Sinese celebrating the Armed Services and Caleb sang the Star Spangled Banner. OUTSTANDING!!! The only winners whose careers were not successful were Taylor Hicks and Kris Allen. Kris is supposedly selling albums but you never see him and you never hear his name. I still can't believe that Adam Lambert didn't win. Who was the little snip who was deaf and had an attitude problem? I saw a Coke commercial this last season and I think it was him singing but I haven't seen him anywhere else. American Idol has produced some stars almost better known in some cases than the winners - Kelly Pickler (who was on Dancing and won and almost won a country music award) and Doughtry to name two. and they've found the right mix for the judges. The combo of Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey a couple of years ago as judges was a train wreck.

I watched a few episodes of X-Factor. I really prefer The Voice to X-Factor. They are the similar format shows in that they have four teams and the "star" acts as mentor. In The Voice, I like how the mentors work better than on X-Factor, so I quit watching the boring one. And? We have American Idol that has gone on forever. At least this time, the winner and runner up didn't look like they were picked by a bunch of teenage girls. I actually liked the runner up and may buy her album if they don't screw it up. I swear, they go through the show singing one way and the album is totally different. Then they wonder why it didn't sell well. Stupid.

I don't think Cole was in Dancing? I think she was so embarrassed by her 'failure' I doubt she'd go back to the States even on holiday! Good! American Idol started here and was called Pop Idol...Pop was sold to Fox (more money in the US ) and became American Idol and XFactor took it's place here, which was Cowell's baby..I was working with 19 on a project and I remember it was quite a to do when Fuller (Idol creator) tried to sue Cowell over XFactor....I love the idea of all these different competitions but I never read them....OSs, can't hack em.....

She wasn't on DWTS but she dated Derek Hough who was/is (not too sure if he's still on it) a dancer on it for 6+ months though back in 2010.So that's probably why you thought she was on it maybe hun.
Kind of OT, but Cheryl Burke is a prop on DWTS and with Cheryl Cole who dated Derek, maybe your got names confused on that basis as well.
