Hi y'all! I was hoping someone here could help me out. My boyfriend has been asked to submit a story which involves him 'happening' upon his roommate jerking off and he gets aroused and then they both have sex.

While normally I would be thrilled if he writes something like that, sadly he has exams to study for and wants the easy way out.

Anybody know of a twilight oneshot like that? We were hoping we could just change the names.

I wouldn't expect it to be finished as Nyddi is the author You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and she's released some OF and she has edited quite a few OF since she last wrote any fanfic.
But if I remember right, I'm pretty sure she's going to publish it as an OF.

You are talking about copying someone else's work and putting your boyfriend's name on it?

I'm pretty open to things but that sounds like plagiarism to me. We tend to be against that here. $:-\$

I read her last chapter note on TWCS. She was planning on finishing them all. It sounds like the writing career took more time than she expected.

To say nothing of the fact that Twilight fans are everywhere and chances are good that someone neither of you suspects could very easily have read the fic and not be very happy. It also has a tendency to work the other way . There are enough prolific readers of regular fiction among twilight fans who get equally ticked off by a fic writer who plagerizes someone like Barbara Delinsky and is stupid enough to think no one would recognize it. Enough people have been kicked off both ff.net and Twilighted for trying it. Onebitelover is right - not cool. Please note I am not suggesting you are stupid - you just aren't thinking about the risks involved. Just ask the US Senator from I think Montana who now has to report to the Army board and explain why his university report that he wrote several years ago didn't credit other sources that he used and made it sound like his own work.

I was only skimming when I came on here earlier, so didn't really read your post properly but to think that you're brazen enough to ask something like this on such a public forum makes me wonder if you actually write fanfic yourself and are just using your b/f as an excuse so you can steal someone else's work and post it to see if you can get away with it.

Well, bigger and better people before you have tried and failed so I think that's all the answer you need.

And what kind of thing exists that has your boyfriend writing a short story about walking in on a "room-mate" jerking off and if this is true, make him use his imagination or do what everyone else does - watch some p0rn.

Don't want to beat a dead horse but really bad, bad idea. Not only is plagiarism just flat out wrong, it will also always come back to bite you in the arse.

About 12 years ago the Vice-Chancellor of my University was forced to quit when a plagiarism claim rose from improperly cited sources in a piece of work published some 20+ years earlier. Career down the drain.

I didn't fully read your post earlier, and I have to say, that this is so wrong. Think of this way, what if someone did that to a story that you had written? Just take the story and change the names? So not cool, and very wrong.

Looks like Jonesn is going to publish Bear Creek. She's posted a snippet of edits being done to change the story over. I didn't know she's published books under L.C. Morgan. She says she's published The Savage and the Saint. Anyone read it? Was it fanfiction first?

American Idol started here and was called Pop Idol...Pop was sold to Fox (more money in the US ) and became American Idol and XFactor took it's place here, which was Cowell's baby..I was working with 19 on a project and I remember it was quite a to do when Fuller (Idol creator) tried to sue Cowell over XFactor....

I love the idea of all these different competitions but I never read them....OSs, can't hack em.....

I used to think like that until I discovered I was missing out. Some o/s are certainly worth the time. Just read Lissa Bryan's, Some Say in Ice and see if that changes your mind or givemesomevamp's, Birth of a Legend. These are just two outstanding o/s's that spring to mind.

Okay so I guess a lot of people got upset...I really didn't think about in plaigiarism terms. No I don't write fanfiction. Was just trying to help out in the hazing process. It would have never been published, nor would any material items would have been gained. Just some college seniors would have been satisfied...

I will definitely give these a go as you recc'd them but if I'm left thinking "WHY THE HELL ARE THESE NOT LONGER!!!" I'll be looking for you!

On Another Note. I think my eyes are bleeding, reading How To Marry A Movie Star by Red(something or other) Jesus, this isn't....*shakes head* I have no words...and I had to go back and re-read Date, which I know I didn't enjoy the first time round but I couldn't remember the ins and outs of the story. I really wanted to think that she'd have gotten better with experience but this is a bunch of lemons held together by the odd paragraph, and not very good paragraphs to boot!

Whether it would have been published or not is beside the point. Plagierism is still plagiarism - not written by you/him and passed off as your/his own material. It's like someone writing a paper for class and passing it off as your own and the professor discovers lo and hehold that its a portion of his daughter's doctoral thesis - uncredited - did happen -end result - paper received a f and student was expelled from college. Was it worth it? Of course not - hard lesson to learn especially when it followed him as part of his college record such as it was and was a black mark on his life - he's still trying to live it down and regain his reputation.
