I so shouldn't laugh at this as the guy died but I seriously can't help it, cos what a way to die. 

I am 40% finished with Diva Diaries by kiyaraven and I am floving it!    I think it's going to secure a place in my top 10, but can't say yet.   I definitely can't put it down.  I've been sneaking off every chance I get to go read it.  I know some don't like when they flop back and forth between past and present but kiyaraven does a great job with the timeline.  I love seeing this new Edward and then getting a glimpse of how he used to be when they first met.    Also, I have never considered myself a Shakespeare fan but boy did they do a good job making me "feel" during that Romeo and Juliet performance.  Maybe I should be embarrassed to admit it but I just never really got it before.

I'm on ep 5 of season 4. 3.10 ( I think it was)  was a awful to watch but just heart-breaking to read! *shakes head* You enjoyed the show more that the books?! Jesus! Blasphemy!!! 

I was out of town for a little while and got way behind on our thread.  I just read through a ton of pages.      I did enjoy the GoT show more than the book which is the first time I've ever been able to say that. They did such a good job with the show and the book was just sooo long and drawn out.  I didn't have the patience to wait and see what happened next when the show was calling my name.

BTW I'm on the 3rd Outlander book now and making my way through a large box of Kleenex  Thanks again for the rec whoever it was..

   

Please refresh my memory...  what happened in book 3 that required Kleenex?    It's been so long since I've read the Outlander books.   I stopped in the middle of book 5 and just never made my way back to the series because it's such a big committment.

I just can't!!!! Curiosity just kills me!!! I guess I always have hope it'll get better... Well... except one book.. Casual Vacancy by JK Rowlings.. it was painful!!! It's still sitting on my nightstand

I flounced this one too! I wanted to like her non-HP writing so much but I just couldn't. It was seriously the most boring book I've ever read.  I made it 3/4 though and had to give up.   Seriously NOTHING happened.   N O T H I N G!

I really enjoyed the first book, so decided to read the second but got bored to half way through it but as I can't flounced I did finish even though that's time I'm never gonna get back. 
I do have the other books in the series on my iPad but I've not got around to them yet as the 2nd book really put me off.

So many people seem to love Beautiful Creatures, but it just didn't do it for me.  I'll admit the ending was a exciting, but not enough to make me want to read the rest of them.  Did you guys see the movies?

Who waits 5 days for anything these days? 
The thing is that I'm sure that Dr's have seen far worse thing stuck up there than a vibe.  :oI've not seen the film as the trailer alone looked awful, so I can only imagine what the film was like and the reviews were pretty bad which didn't help.

I saw the movie. It was dull as dishwater. NOTHING exciting happened til the very end. You know it's dull when Emma Thompson and Jeremy Irons can't get a reaction out of you! It did nothing to make me want to read the books, at all.

As far as I can tell, they only wrote the one story.  There is mention of a second one, but I can't see that it ever posted.

I haven't read it, but it looks angsty.  So you may want to ask out angst experts for some similar stories.

That's good to know about the Beautiful Creatures movie...   I remember the preview didn't really jump out and grab me.    Speaking of movies...  I loved the Vampire Academy books, but the trailer was so awful that I didn't watch the movie.   I think we may have already talked about this one?    I was disappointed in the Mortal Instruments movie too.   Don't even get me started on Eragon!   I almost walked out of that one.

I watched the movie a couple of weeks ago. (Vampire Academy) It wasn't just awesome, but it didn't suck as bad as I thought it would. I thought it was funny, more like a typical "high school" type movie that just happened to be about vampires. The cast was mostly ok, but I didn't love the guy they had playing Dimitri. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Haven't watched MI, but I haven't read the books either.

This story just irritated me.  I read it as a WIP.  I thought the continuity sucked, the plot had huge holes, and I never felt any chemistry between Edward and Bella. 

well damn. I have read other stuff from her and liked it....might have to consider dropping it further down the tbr list.

This is the only one by mathisson I've read, so I can't give you any comparisons.  I heard good things about Shamrocks and Shenanigans, so decided to give this one a try.  I was disappointed.  We'll see if I give this author a chance at redemption.

I have read Shamrocks & Shenanigans; The Truth about Lies; Take a Chance; Diapers, Diplomas and Deadbeat Dads; No One Special; and In the Hands of Fate and I liked them. In the Hands of Fate I have re-read a few times and the same with No One Special. I also read the Shamrocks "sequel" Claddagh & Chaos. I am not sure if I would call that a sequel or a companion, but I didn't enjoy that one as much as Shamrocks.  I found some of the plot lines a bit not realistic, but for the most part I over looked that.

I agree. I will probably read The Secrets we Keep just because I have read so many of her other stories and liked them for the most part, but I will flounce if necessary. I will let you know what my thoughts are on this story since I have read so much of her other ones and see if I can do a comparison for you.

Errrr? That story isn't complete those @*$&*@ disappeared after 44 chapters and have yet to be seen in Dodge again.

I'm actually using the the box across the whole series  But honestly book 2 was the real killer, right from the start when Claire is in the cemetery, but Book 3 was more a lesson in patience  . I have to admit that Book 4 is......so far not my favourite still fantastic writing and story telling but hasn't got me by the throat in the same way as the previous books. I have found a Outlander forum yesterday I am rather tempted to go on for a chat but even though they have a "spoiler policy' written almost like a mission statement and knowing how an@l I am about this I think I'll steer clear until I've finished the series....
