Does anyone know if there is a calibre plug in or another way to turn a book into a audio book.

Nor will I with this book  :) It's pretty good.
I've read up to the point where they actually meet in person...  Just not feeling it yet.     I think you gave it 4 stars though so maybe it gets better?

I also got sidetracked and started reading The Tutor (ff) so I'm juggling both now.   :)

I never used to read more than one book at a time...  Didn't understand how people could do that.   I think it's a bad habit I've started!

Oh come on! If that hobo looking guy walked up to you and tried to chat you up (and you didn't know he was RP)  you'd run screaming to the nearest policeman!  :D

*hahaha!!!! Ok ok... Facial hair is not my favorite thing... But light eyed, tall, lanky, guys with a six pack and great hair are! I married one of them ;)

Considering he used to look like a hobo on a daily basis, that isn't a bad assessment.  What was funny - and maybe still holds true is that you could always tell when the picture was taken by what he was wearing.  Someone on Twilighted around late 2009 early 2010 produced a picture complaining about it being taken by a pap because it was a little intrusive (taken looking down at him sitting at an outside table).  I simply said - How do we know it was a pap - it could have been a fan.  He's wearing a hat I don't even recognize so it has to be BIC rather than AIC (before I cared as opposed to after I cared which in my case would have been before August 2009.)  If I remember correctly it was also before the stoli.  I hated Rome Rob because he definitely looked creepy mainly because of his hair.  Until Chicago he's been looking really good.

Closest thing is using a reader with a read-to-me function. My older Kindles did it. I also have Mantano Reader Pro that will read epubs on my tablet or phone. The voices are a little mechanical. It works best when you set the voice (male or female) to match the POV. Long AN's can be annoying too.

I usually use the read to me for school books. But I have used it on stories on occasion when I'm cleaning. ;)

I do this too, I usually have about 5 books/fics on the go at once, I get bored of only reading one book/fic at a time even if I'm reading a really good one.  :o
ATM I'm only reading books no fics so I've got 3 different series and 2 stand-alones on the go.  :)

Now I'm nervous...Did I only give it four stars? If I remember correctly I use to be more generous with my staring system....But it is defo worth the read....But don't take my word I'm sure there are a couple of other ladies on this thread that have read that trilogy.

How would you know he had great hair under that hat? And I can barely see his eyes with those caterpillars crawling across his face ...Now off to live my life under Witness Protection ..... :D :D :D

I have a very bad habit of having 5-6 books on the go. I've alwasy read like that, when they were physical books thee would be one in the bedroom, one in the lounge, one in the bathroom and one in my bag and depending where I was sitting I'd read the book available. Now its worse because my iPad hold...well, I don't even know how many books it holds, and they follow me everywhere!

Actually, I think PK mentioned something about having a voice module on some devise or other, is this the same one?

Every time anyone mentions devices that read to you I think about our conversation a while back....  "Millimeters!  Millimeters!  Millimeters!"    do you guys remember that?   Was it Astro?

We've had a lot of funny conversations... but that one with accents and millimeters was my favorite!   Of course now I hear that in my head when I'm reading a book. LOL

Rob is no longer in Chicago - he is now in Paris with Twigs - which now puts him closer to Loopy and whoever else in Great Britain.  Pictures of him on Robsessed - none of Twigs unless she's the one sitting behind the pole or whatever at the street café who Rob is talking to.

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
LOL! I always think of Astro/PK when I listen to stories on my reader.

"Oh, Edward!  Uh, millimeter, millimeter, millimeter. ..so good"

The fun one I used to come up with was Doctor for the dr. In an address.  I also think if you have an ipad you can get siri to read ibooks or from the Kindle app.  But it didn't work with my android tablet, so I got Mantano Reader.  Moon Reader Pro may also do it. At the time I bought it, Mantano had better read to me reviews. There is also an app for the Kindle Fire that will allow Read to Me on it.

Just some things to try.  For a regular book?  The read to me is not so bad. If you buy regular books on Kindle, the give you a discount on the Audible version a lot of the time as well.  If you can afford it, it's a great deal.  ;)

Deviant!

Finally started reading Deviant, I'm only a couple of pages in and I had to share two of the funniest lines I've read in Twifics for ages, especially for Onebitelover..

"I'll have you know I've been told I have sex hair."
I raise my eyebrows and spit out, "By who? The Hobbits?"
  :D :D :D :D Too funny!

I've been putting off reading it because it starts out like PWP. But maybe I should suck it up and zoom past the first chapters.  How long until there is story?

Okay, not long I guess.  The coyote ugly at the beginning threw me off.

Talking of audible versions - Kindle Unlimited lets you d/l unlimited audible books as well as Kindle books, so it's a decent deal all for $9.99/£7.99 a month plus you get a free months trail which is a helluva lot cheaper than most other places.

I've been using KU for a couple of months now and love it.  :)

You should give it a go hun, if I remember right I think it takes about 6/7 chapters until the plot starts to starts taking shape but they aren't overly long chapters so it's not to bad.  :)

If it includes audibles, it would be worth it.  I really don't read a lot of real books. The last few books I've bought were on sewing and cooking.  Neither of which I actually have time to do. :D :D :D :D

My husband would use it more. But he can't find many books on it, so he hasn't bothered. He likes SciFi of the space wars type. He reads fairly fast and has trouble finding new books. And his latest complaint are the self published books that go for 99 cents. But you end up having to buy 20 of them to read the full story when a published book would be $7.99.  But we've talked about that here. :P

I just put it on my ipad.  I see Booked's love of this. I go to my drive,  search for the story, and download to iBooks or Kindle.  I do need a wifi connection. But so much easier than adding to my Kindle. I still prefer reading with the e-ink though.  And my Kindle fits in my purse better. ;)
