I never used to read more than one book at a time... Didn't understand how people could do that. I think it's a bad habit I've started!
I have a very bad habit of having 5-6 books on the go. I've alwasy read like that, when they were physical books thee would be one in the bedroom, one in the lounge, one in the bathroom and one in my bag and depending where I was sitting I'd read the book available. Now its worse because my iPad hold...well, I don't even know how many books it holds, and they follow me everywhere!
I still can't read several books at the same time. I have no problem reading Time or random magazine articles (i.e. shit reads) bec i definitely don't want to bring my ipad to the toilet. But when it comes to books, i guess my brain can handle only 1 at a time. As it is, I get confused or don't remember some books after reading it, moreso if i read more than one. I have, however, already learned how to flounce. I started a few chapters of The Ugly Duckling Bakery and For The Summer but wasn't feeling it so i "put it aside". They looked promising but still didn't grab me enough.Oh, and since i just synced my ipad to my PC, i know i have 2,037 books and fanfics total in it. Not counting the ones on my PC i purposely didn't put on my ipad bec i wasn't sure i would like the story nor author but just hoarded them anyway When i'll get to read all of these? maybe up to my next lifetime. :
Finally started reading Deviant, I'm only a couple of pages in and I had to share two of the funniest lines I've read in Twifics for ages, especially for Onebitelover.."I'll have you know I've been told I have sex hair."I raise my eyebrows and spit out, "By who? The Hobbits?" Too funny!
I've been putting off reading it because it starts out like PWP. But maybe I should suck it up and zoom past the first chapters. How long until there is story? Okay, not long I guess. The coyote ugly at the beginning threw me off.
You guys MUST watch Gone Girl! Absolutely loved it. Didn't notice it was 2.5 hrs long bec it was really engrossing. Not to mention Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike were gorgeous and did some great acting. They had some HOT scenes too. I knew the book was such a hit and got a lot of rave reviews but i never got around to reading it. Have any of you gals decided to read a book because you saw the movie version first? I have often watched movies bec i read the books, similar to what i did for the Twilight series. Which is sometimes why i get disappointed after watching the film bec the books are almost always better than the movie. But so far, i have not read a book after watching the film.
My daughter read the book and saw the film. She's been trying to get me to read the book, but now says I don't have to if I see the film, because they stuck really close to the book.
Talking of audible versions - Kindle Unlimited lets you d/l unlimited audible books as well as Kindle books, so it's a decent deal all for $9.99/£7.99 a month plus you get a free months trail which is a helluva lot cheaper than most other places.I've been using KU for a couple of months now and love it. :)I love that convo, definitely one of the funniest I'd read in a while.
Am giving this a go. Not liking the Fu Manchu stache image. But will persevere, i can gloss over physical descriptions and just use my imagination Will read 5 chapters then am going to sleep as it's 1:45am now. I decided not to go to work tomorrow and do some errands. Good night, ladies!
What I am enjoying is realising that every fic in Plantblue's awesome fic list I already have!
They just started advertising Kindle Unlimited on Amazon.de. I only glanced at the article, and didn't translate it too well, but do the books go away after a month? Could I just download everything I want in the first trial month, de-DRM and then have it in my Calibre library? Or do they have some prevention against that? Do you have to sign up for a year in advance or something? I know I wouldn't have access to new books each month.
Howdy all,Can anyone provide a list of good vampward fics for me? I've read quite a few and I've enjoyed them. Thanks in advance!
I seriously wish I hadn't seen that picture of RP because that was all I could see when I thought of Manchuward, which wasn't sexy at all, as far as I'm concerned. It was a good story, very well written and a good return to twific for me after being away for...bloody hell! Three months?! Jez Louise, Man Booker Prize again and I have yet to read last year's winner!! *sigh*
I am really liking this one. It's also been months since i was "eager" to go back to reading a fanfic. Slept at 3am (slow reader), woke up at 6 and instead of going back to sleep, i went back to reading it. Do like the way it is written, their snarkiness with each other Here is what i picture of him in my mind, no stache but just the right amount of scruff for me:

See, me too. The beginning was a bit blah for me; I'm now on chapter 6 and though it's very witty I'm not loving it, yet. What I am enjoying is realising that every fic in Plantblue's awesome fic list I already have!
Rob and Twigs in Paris - shopping, her concert, etc. having a blast. Robsessed describes him as hobolicious. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
