Ok, the reviews seem fairly positive? So...is this good or bad? I'm confused, lol!
Lol, that's exactly how you'll feel when reading the book as well.
Well that's no help at all! lol!
I'm so glad I don't read much OF. It's pretty much limited to mysteries and um, hm, well, shoot. I think the last non fanfics I've read were a book on braiding hair and some cookbooks.
I's the best help...this book is good, because it's so insane it keeps you reading well beyond the time you want to give up...It Crack. Simple.I'm really worried I'm never going to read another twific again....its been months.
I think if another Dusty comes along, you may read again. I will admit there aren't a lot of good ones left. But every so often I find one. Or a new or old author comes along who is actually great. I'm kind of expecting twifics to disappear except for the young teen writers who are just discovering Twilight. It's been 6 years since the last book and over a year since the last DVD. Most of the older writers should have discovered the genre, shouldn't they?I did notice that completed fics per week on ffnet have dropped by almost half in the last 6 months. So with your reading speed? Yeah, you might be done.
Lol, love that your hubby's just like "more Twilight NOT ALLOWED!" The hubby has no idea how many fics I've got stored on the laptop to transfer to the iPad, he thinks it's bad enough I have an iPad just for fics. Read it hun as you love your angst like we (Kim as well) do, you'll totally understand what we mean when we say it's so bad it's good. :PI have 3 iPads - all with different books on and nearly all of them are full so it's either rob the bank and buy another or have a cull real soon. I've decided I'd rather go to confession than delete any books as that's sacrilege right!?! We should do a round robin and so write a story with that title. We'd corrupt so many people.
I'd agree, but then I remember the 1000s of twifics on my TBR that seem to shout 'WTF are we? Chopped liver!' But talking about reading speed, I have finished the 3rd Groupie book.....I've no words.
I think it's called Groupie. LOL. My phone just typed Groupon. Now that would be an interesting name for a story.
I've been hanging out here too long, when I read groupon, my brain added an extra R in the second half of the word.My husband knows about fanfiction, although he thinks its all sparkling vampires and says the writing quality isn't good, which is true of some, but not all.
I've been hanging out here too long, when I read groupon, my brain added an extra R in the second half of the word.
I stupidly updated my operating system to OS X Yosemite and now Calibre is telling me I can no longer use 'Connect to iTunes' to transfer. As anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it?! HELP!!* panicked in London!
LOL!!!! Did a little math last night.. if I read one fic a week, it'd take 28 years to finish my collection! LOL I'm not so sure he's seen the WHOLE collection as its safely tucked away on the cloud, backed up on google, backed up on an external... Can't be too safe! I'm on the crazy train! I've decided its my next read It's twific break time I'm almost done with Tropic of Virgo!! UGH! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! [emoji48] A groupon round robin would be fun!! [emoji16] Yes! I'd say it qualifies as sacrilege! [emoji6] LOL
*hahahaha... I wish I could read like Number 5 from Short Circuit... Need input!!! Damn! I'm so jealous!!! I'm a snail [emoji13]
Now, that is a truly inspiring title for our ff. Grouporn by thebookclub
Lol, I made my nephew do the maths for me as he's our resident rain man the other month and he worked it to be it would take me 22yrs and 7mths to read all my fics and another 137yrs and 4 mths to read all my OF, and I've added to it since. Lol, I could just imagine us doing a round robin, it would just be one massive lemon. I tried to telling the hubby it was sacrilege but he didn't believe me, so glad someone else is on my side. Totally agree with you hun, would love to read like Number 5 or my lovely boy Reid (from CM) where apparently just running your finger down the page means you've read a whole page in a matter of seconds. I went through a stage a few weeks ago where I was averaging 5 books a week, now I'm barely reading 2 a week.
He also knows I have an unhealthy addiction to Rob. He's dealing with it, so are my kids. Through all these addictions I met you awesome guys....that's a good thing.
*ahahahahaaa!!! That's so funny.. I love how the months are added in I didn't even look at OF because, well, FF is my priority 5 books a week!? I can barely get through one! I can't read when the kiddies are around, and my days are so busy. I try reading at night while they are home and I get interrupted a hundred bazillion times and lose my focus... Its more frustrating than enjoyable, so I read at night until I'm exhausted and pass out around midnight sometimes later depending on if I can put the book down or not.
Looking at the mobireads forum for Calibre and iTunes, it sounds like Apple blocked the use some time ago. I'm not totally understanding the work arounds. But then again, I find people using it. You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginRun both as administrator. If that doesn't work, you can always highlight the stories you want, right click and send to device? I'm blanking. Sorry. I will get on in a minute. But really? I only have minimal knowledge of Apple computers. My old ibook mostly just sits in a drawer. Complete waste of money.
Yes I gathered that when I looked on Calibre's FAQs, but I've not updated my Lappy's operating system since I got it so worked fine until yesterday...WHAT POSSESSED ME!!! I'll have a look at the forum link you posted and see if I can figure out what they're saying, otherwise I need another reading app (not ibook) that works with both iPad and Calibre and talk to each other....suggestions on a post card.
