I figure my kids have 3DSes, PS3s, Wii-Us, they can leave my tablet alone!

*ahahahaha... So true! We have a Wii and a DS... I think we need to invest more in gadgets ;)  :D

How do they like the Wii-U?

I'll race you for the Mother of the Year award!  :P
I finally succumbed buying the ipad2 in 2011. I'd really feel so bad that i get irritated when my kids want to "see" it. When the ipad3 came out, the ipad2 became discounted so we bought one for the kids. Of course they inherited my old one and i got the new one.  ;D Then they would fight over it for their "turn">:(  I used my credit card rewards points to buy the ipad3 at half price a year later. Got a32 Gb this time for myself, and again the "newer" used one got passed on to my daughter, the oldest one going to my son. My husband eventually gave in, used his rewards points to buy an ipad mini at half price as well. So we don't fight anymore.  :) I still feel guilty feeling resentment when my kids wanted to use it.  :( But no way in hell will i let anyone else touch mine. Many people have all sorts of tablets now so no one bothers me anymore, specially at work, to "borrow" it. They know better than to ask me to see "my precious" (insert Gollum voice here). :D

 :D :D :D

Yeah... It was involved in a "trip - fall - concrete" accident! The screen is cracked, but not to where it fell to pieces. At that point it was only 4 months old  :'( :'( :-[ :-[
I couldn't be too mad... as my kiddo was DEVASTATED! Literally broke his heart to break my cherished new baby. So, I had to hold in my broken heart *ahahah..

You can get the screen replaced, Amazon sells screens You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and a good computer repair shop should be able to change it out for you....My girlfriend's partner is a computer techie and he'd had to repair her screen 3 times!! He's refused to it it again....He's a good guy to know as he takes care of all my Mac/computer hardware/drive problems....

My Nexus isn't nearly as pricey as an ipad, but I still don't let anyone else touch it, I get antsy if DH even picks it up. He thinks it means I'm hiding stuff, but I'm really not, he's aware of all (ok most) of the stuff I read!
Lol, my hubby's the same he thinks I love my iPads more than him. It's close but the hubby pips it at the post as he can do things my iPads can't.  :P :P

Shoved WAYYYYYY in the couch! I swear I looked there! [emoji12] [emoji13] [emoji14]

Sounds like me last week trying to find my glasses they were in the freezer, even though I already looked in there.  :D :D

O.K., I'm done. It is a good story. Well written and she handled the heavy topic very well. But...I don't know how to say it....I'm not satisfied. There are so much open questions and I'd really love to learn more. So I'm a little bit undecided if I should rec it. She wrapped it up quite nicely, but there's so much more potential.
But it's definitive not a long fic. I started on Sunday and finished today. So, Demaris, I'm sure you'll read it in a few hours.  :) Not too much time wasted if you really wouldn't like it. If you read it, please let me know what you think!
I felt the same hun, I wish it was a few chapters longer or something as there were a few things that needed to be answered a bit better.
But I still liked it none the less, gotta agree with you hun that Mrs F will probably be able to read it in a few hours.  :D :D

Lol, what will be our prize hun as I'm sure it'll be a tie between us.  >:D >:D :D :D
I think I'm gonna get an iPad Air 2 for Christmas as I think I've been nice enough to the hubby for one.  ;) ;)
I'm in desperate need as I've only got space for another 10/15 books/fics on my iPads (I have an iPad 2 and iPad Mini and both of them are 64GBs).  :'(

Not started it yet. I just can't get it up for Twifics anymore....I don't know why.

Oh! Loopy, have you bought your sandbags etc? There's a hell of a storm on its way to the UK according to all the Met office. Batten down your hatches, I'd hate for you to be flooded out having just got back in your house...

Lol, you sound just like my 16 yr old BIL talking about certain things he can't be bothered with any more.  :D :D

Don't worry hun, we have plenty of precautions in place this year even been out helping our neighbours (as most of them are farmers obv :D) dredging the river again yesterday and today and we had the contractors sort out extra drainage around our property while they were making it liveable again.  :-*

Fingers crossed we won't have another repeat of earlier this year. I'd rather have Christmas everyday than that and I really can't stand Christmas it does my head in.  :o :D :D

Honestly? They barely play it, but I do see that changing, at least for a bit, when they get Smash Bros for Christmas. They use the PS3 much more.

Oh I thought it was just me that's a Scrooge in regards to Christmas. I really can't bear it and when you say this, people look at you like you personally kicked Mary out the inn. So you have to suffer through all the :poo: pretending to be in the 'Christmas spirit' so that people leave you alone and not look at you like you're a freak! I've been trying to persuade Mr PA to just knock it all on the head and let us take off to lie on a beach somewhere...He looked at me and said ' What about my parents?"!!!  :o :wtf:  Motherf*cker your parents have 4 other children and more grandchildren than Noah! Obviously I didn't say that out loud...because, ya know, I kinda like his dick.  ;)  :P :D

Lol, exactly hun.  :D :D
I was shopping the other day and this woman told me no to be so miserable when I said to my daughter "Shoot Me now and put me out of my misery" when the music was changed to the usual Christmas  :poo: :poo:
I not so politely told her to piss off and if she wanted to be around happy chirpy people that like Christmas she should go to the North Pole (maybe with a few extra added words), what can I say apart from December is not a month that I'm too polite or cheery.

Think that's probably wise hun that you didn't actually say that to him as you don't want him calling a time out on d*ck time.  :D :D

The hubby thinks I should be locked up (but that's nothing new really) for not liking Christmas, just the thought that I've gotta go round to his parents at some point in the day and all of his brothers, partners and kids will also be there is enough to make me break out in hives. I love them all dearly but everyone just seems extra hyper and all I wanna do is sit in a dark room reading something extra dark and agnsty.  >:D >:D

I must confess how hot Gerard Butler is in those Hugo Boss commercials. I love a good looking man with a sexy accent in a tailored suit.  :-*  >:D  :57:

So, I finished reading Shay Savage's Alarm. I know, I was shocked  that I was able to put down my EXB fanfics to do it.  I have to say it was a pretty good read. The first half of the story, I felt dragged a bit, but I am glad that I stuck it out, because the last half made up for it. The book is in the Female Lead's POV and I would love to read it from the Male POV. At $4.55 it was a bit steep for only 248 pages. She also has left a few loose ends, so I could see a sequel coming in the future for this.

Okay Loopy - I'll bite - why were your glasses in the freezer?   Now if someone could just tell me what the heck I did with the toaster oven tray - I misplaced it over a year ago and still haven't run across it yet.......

Your toaster oven tray was probably taken by the gremlins that visit my house. They are so bad. They are always taking stuff. :D :D :D :D

I finally got around to watching The Fault In Our Stars...  wow was it good!  I read the book and while I did like the book I didn't love it.    I don't think I've ever said I liked a movie better than the book, but I think that the movie was better in this case.   Not really sure what it was... maybe they left out part of Gus' decline so it wasn't quite as sad?   Did anyone else feel that way?  I cried through the whole darn thing because I knew what was coming, but it was sooo worth watching!
