demaris - go for it and come down with a 24 hour bug and skip responsibility tomorrow.  I'm not going anywhere - I plan on sleeping and reading.  My parents weren't planning on doing anything for tomorrow - my father has Alzheimer's and has no clue what day it is and my mother just had a change in her blood pressure medication and is experiencing vertigo.   My sister sort of changed their plans - she's divorcing her husband and is coming to see them for the holiday - or actually I guess he's divorcing her (actually she arrived yesterday) and inspired my mother to put up a tree (the lights don't work so I am assuming my sister the Wicked Witch of the West went out and bought more).   I'm thrilled I'm not there because I heard through the grapevine that she was planning on hitting my mother with papers for her to sign for both she and dad to go into a nursing home.  That is not going to go over really big and I don't want to be there when she does it and my mother has a stroke. It would serve my sister right if she was the one stuck calling 911.  I talked to my aunt earlier and evidently everything is still quiet on the western front - in other words the shit hasn't yet hit the fan.   I think I would have picked another day other than Christmas to do this but what the hell do I know?  You'd think she would learn - this is the third time either she or one other sibling has tried this - this time she's left holding the bag because the brother who was involved a couple of years ago has conveniently worked it out so that he and his family are in France for a month (one of his daughters is spending a year as a transfer student at some university somewhere in France for the  next year. ) 

Have I read correctly among your post that there is fourth season of The Killing airing?

Aired, finished in August;  6 episode to finish off the series...

Hope your day is more exciting than mine. I get to spend it studying. Though I am watching the Doctor Who marathon on BBCA - still not sure if I like the new Doctor.

Studying on Christmas doesn't sound like any fun at all. I am reading Dreams & Fantasies by Michaelmas54 that just completed.

All I can say is that if I see another mince pie I'll, how do you guys say it over that side of the pond? Up chuck? Yeah, that. Though I'm also nicely drunk too so all good . [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Yum!  I love mincemeat pie.  But I'm the only one who will eat it at my house.  And I will eat the whole thing. Sigh. I don't buy it much.

Erm? This is what they look like here. They are at best two mouthfuls, in the US are they larger?...because eating more than one is really not that difficult I've eaten around 8 and it only 6.30pm!!![emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

My company just went home, I'm going to get the dishes in the dishwasher and stretch out on the couch.  One good thing about hosting is I can delay having dessert until everyone has gone home and dinner has had a chance to go down.

It's gotta be a small step up, I think!?! Though I kinda stopped watching Glee after Cory died. 

I've not watched since midway through season 3, I'm at PA's parents and its a boxset I think...season 5, is that the one Monteith died in?  What a waste of a life...I guess 'Just Say No' doesn't work.

the smallest I've seen here is a normal 8 or 9 inch diameter pie that serves 6 to 8.  They come larger though. 

Ok I just gotta say, really read the whole post, all I saw was 8 or 9 inch, 6 to 8, and you guys KNOW where my mind went.

Well my plan for a duvet day ended badly as the hubby invited everyone around ours (even after I tried to convince him I was more contagious than Ebola) instead of going around to theirs

And when I say everyone I mean everyone, this morning my parents, my 3 brothers, wives and families (including my dead brothers wife and family), they all have 4/5 kids each and my eldest brother's kids have kids of their own so that was 27 people!!

Then this afternoon the hubby's parents came along with all 9 of his brothers and their partners and 6 of them have kids (between 5-8 of them) and his 2 eldest brothers kids have kids so that was 62 people!!!
My house is starting to feel like the TARDIS as I've no idea how we managed to fit them all into our 3 bedroom house. 

This evening after everyone left the hubby got under the duvet with me on the couch (where I've spent most of the day) and just "Don't mess with the best!" 
The smug b*****d!!! 

I'm so gonna plan so in advance for next year so the hubby can't ruin it. 

There are many things my mother-in-law and I disagree on, but we both agree that Christmas is for family.  While I love my PTS family, being with my RL family is important.  It's been a great day for my family.  I wish many blessings on all of you in this wonderful season.
