I don't think you'll be disappointed by the book. It definitely exceeded my expectations.
You ladies know how I hate spoilers, right? Well a MoFo on the BBC just gave the bloody plot away of Gone Girl...I've been working myself through Gillian Flynn's back catalogue before reading it...I want to strangle him!

I don't blame you! That's frustrating! Ordinarily, I don't really mind spoilers, but for some things I like to be surprised. For Gone Girl, it seems like everyone is talking about it and giving away the plot, which is kind of irritating. That's something I wanted to be surprised about. I'm sure the movie and book will still be good though. I hope so, at least.
What a moron! I hate when people do that I`m like
I've started reading Wisp (in intervals ) and I'm still early in, but it's not as bad (with angst) as I thought. So far, I'm loving it! Thank you to everyone who has talked about it and recommended it!
hi!The pope is in town and it has been a humbling experience seeing him, even just on tv.I was at the dentist this morning and watching him say his first mass here while waiting for my turn. I started reading my book on the ipad with the mass still playing on tv in the background. Then i realized i was smack dab in the s e x scene of the book am reading, a menage a trois at that. Quickly closed my ibooks and just started plaing candy soda crush
If anyone is curious, sophiejax (the person who wrote A Pound of Flesh) is pulling everything on Sunday.
I am surprised it has been up this long. We heard what back in October she was publishing. I think book 1 of the trilogy is out summer 2015.
First off Ladies - I hope everyone's Christmas and New Year are going well !Let's catch you up as to my 2014 year. I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I promise. Most of you remember my youngest son (20) was in a terrible car accident and hospitalized for almost a month and then we had rehab. I am glad to tell you he is back at the university and walking without an aid of a wheelchair, walker, or cane. Oldest son joined the military after he graduated college and he completed his training in the military and has moved completely away. *pouts*Then came the busy holiday time. I started have pains around November and after investigation it was my gallbladder. I had that sucker removed 2 weeks ago. Hubs and I celebrated New Years at home with one wish. It was better than 2014.I so missed talking with everyone. I missed what to read next....... I want a gooooood outlander fic/book. The show sucked me right in, but the books......just not my cup of tea. They are wordy. I mean 50-100 chp on stuff that doesn't move the plot. What new fics out there to read....etc. I am having withdrawals !BTW: Booked can you do that great summary thing to catch me up on what I have missed?hmmmm all my pics are gone in my siggy.
Yeah. For what it's worth, the warning was posted in the 152 thread as well, but I never go in there. The rumblings on Facebook seem to think this is by her own decision and the masses are a bit miffed, if not more. I just downloaded the rest of her stuff as a defense mechanism. I have bigger things that I need to read before I hit her stuff.
So Pound of Flesh will be in three parts? Or is she`s going to write more of it?
Hello! Welcome back RDM! You have been missed! What a busy/crazy year, but thank God you son is better and that you've come through you op OK. No such thing as Outlander fic, apparently ( according to Deranged Dreamer) Gabaldon doesn't allow it....I'm kinda glad as I don't want anyone messing with Jamie Frasier, he just about the perfect hero. I just broke down and watched the first half of the TV show this week, I was trying to hold out until season one totally completed. Failed.
Well watching that TV series lead me to the books cause I was yearning for more Jamie and I dinna want to wait for spring. I read Book 1 and then I am 1/2 in on book 2 and well...... I am almost DNF (MY FIRST). I mean the the books are like 800 page books EACH (8 published - 1 more to come), and it seriously needs editing and I googled and read where she will not allow her books to be edited. Now, she doesn't write bad at all. Very good at helping you visualize. My problem with them is that is takes 50 pages to describe say...a fart.... and that greatly hinders propelling the plot forward. I am definitely liking the TV better than the books. As far as ff goes. Wasn't there more kiltwards? Catcher in the Rye or something like that?
