Ella - I think it depends on where your interest would lie more now: Darkover between Darkover Landfall when the colonists landed up to Rediscovery when the Terrans discovered them or from Rediscovery on after the Terrans found them - less books the second way and it introduces you to Marguerite Alton (Lewis Alton's daughter) after Rediscovery and the more "modern" Darkover and why the Terrans left again etc. These days I'm more interested in the more recent Darkover. Try the second choice and see if you are really that lost and have forgotten as much as you think you have. I can't tell you the last time I read one of the earlier books.
Thanks Ella, she's on her fifth round, but they've said she is unlikely to lose it with this type of chemo, (it's tablets rather than a drip) the worse thing is they wanted to give her a stronger dose, but said she wasn't fit enough (her immune system) to take it, so instead they have put her on Thalidomide tablets too, and since they already boost the chemo with steroids she needs a daily injection against bloodclots, as well as a twice weekly injection to boost her immune system...all of which I have to give her...which isn't so bad, until you know she's needle phobic and is twitching when I'm six inches away from her. Hope your mom is better now. It's horrible seeing the strongest person you know suffering and sometimes feeling helpless.
Ella, I'm totally stalking and taking some things from your Calibre library.
She's doing okay. But she's in her 80's so normal aging on top of chemo side effects (memory loss) gets her very frustrated. It's been a few years. We're keeping our fingers crossed.
I understand, my mom is 77. I'll keep my fingers crossed too.

Sorry to hear about your mum, I hope all goes well for her.
Sorry to hear about your Mum, hun. At she has you and your family for support. Cancer's a bitch, that's why I do a fun run every year to raise money to go into research for it as I know and have lost so many people to it over the years.

I started reading Driven. It's good so far, though i hate Colton Donovan seems to be a bit of a dick. But, writing like these, makes it all worthwhile...and knowing it's a trilogy and HEA, encourages me to read more
Not to be a pessimist, but Feral Blood will be up for about 4 months before she pulls it again. She was on Twilighted under Carlisla Cooper and then left to go to ff.net under The Joker's Daughter. She apparently had issues with them and came back to Twilighted as blood of your lips and posted it there along with a Post Edward Bella fic. They lasted about 4 months before she pulled again (in the exact same spot in the Bella story when she pulled it the first time). I lost track of her at that point. I can guarantee I am not pleased that she's back - especially if she reposts the Bella story because I'm not about to start it again only to have her decide to pull it again. Same with Feral Blood. But then that's just me. I can only deal with so much wishy/washiness. There's pulling and then re-posting and then there's pulling, reposting, pulling, reposting.......... I think this means I'm flouncing before I've even read it - again but that's a whole other thread.
I've heard so many good things about Counselor... Is there one certain fic of her's that I should start with?Glad you're liking it so far! He is totally an a$$ that's for sure... but I don't mind with it being fiction and all. I really enjoyed this series. I thought it was as good as Bared to You. Speaking of this formula... have you read Beauty From Pain and Beauty From Surrender? I thought those were actually better than the Crossfire series (in that genre).
Yay, we're back up!!!!
Oh no hun, your computer is definitely a male, I wouldn't worry too much in quite a few cases your not missing much. Just so you know though your hubby scored 4 out of 5 Jon Hamms, which was 1/2 a Hamm more than Kellan.
Oh! Good. I thought it was just me it was down for!!! Ella it might be an idea to post this thread's Devil's Playground address at the top of the page, maybe? I wanted to pay a visit to see if the site was down for everyone but I couldn't remember the details... Pretty decent score! Go Mr Fassy! You sexy, large, peen, man, you! :
