I read the Rock Chick Series by Kristen Ashley *gasp* I know published instead of FF, we won't get into why I've stepped away from the Fandom     I'm looking  for more books like KA one's any req's I just don't do cheating hero's or novels where the main female character is *cough* Slutty *cough* Any one wanna help a girl out.

This is an AH/AU Edward/Bella fic that I have been waiting to finish for what seems like forever! I remember reading the first few chapters and loving it then putting it aside due to the evilness of the WIP. From what I remember it's quite angsty (hence why I set it aside to complete) but well written with a HEA!

Really? I skimmed through it and from what I gathered it seems Tanya is their daughter... am I just completely wrong or does he cheats but with somebody else?

By the way I'm so disappointed ... this story was next on my TBR list 

Bella and Edward have been married for almost 20 years and have teenage children. Basically they were once super duper in love but things are beginning to fall apart a bit (a lot). Edward thinks everything is okay, Bella not so much and from there some really stupid decisions are made. Edward is a pretty big arsehole at times and Bella is one tough lady (who makes her own share of mistakes). As for the big question:

It's certainly not going to be one for everyone. I really liked it because despite the angst their problems are real and they are written like real people with real lives and real issues. That and Bella isn't a complete stick-in-the-mud.

Tanya, Irina and Charlotte are their daughters. Tanya is 17. As for the other issue, see above.

I'm like 5 pages behind on here, thanks to work. 

When my niece was 15, she was telling me some of her friends had been having sex since they were 13 or 14. They were living in Marin County at the time - it's an area with a mix of rich families and hippies.  Well, the parents were hippies in the sixties and seventies.  My niece thought her friends were a little crazy to have sex so young thank goodness.   

I know this sounds hypocritical - but I'd hate to learn that my daughter was having sex at 14 as it is too young. I lost my virginity at 12 and that was through sheer boredom and the fact that my parents sent me to an all girls catholic school  that was 1/4 of a mile a way from a teenage boys reform school. 
No wonder I fell pregnant at 14 with my brothers best friend (when I read this, it so sounds like a something you'd watch on TV  ) - this is why I know I'm being hypocritical, but I also know through experience that at 12, 13, 14 etc you're not really emotional mature enough for what sex can do to you, no matter what you think.

Have you read KA's other books?  I love everything I've read by her.  I love, love, love Knight, also by Kristen Ashley.  Have you read that one?

I flove Knight - he just makes my ovaries explode, especially the whole "Daddy" thing.

I don't think you're being hypocritical at all.  You've been there and can speak from experience.  I grew up on military bases and my father's rule was "Stay away from the airmen."  I didn't know why at the time, but when I was a freshman in high school, a 7th or 8th grader started school in the fall pregnant, because she'd been hanging out with the airmen.  Young men + younger girls = early pregnancy.  I don't think young teenage girls are ready for the reality of sex or its consequences.  Just because your body is physically capable of doing certain things doesn't mean it's a good idea.  And teenage boys are definitely not ready for the emotions they release in girls by having sex with them, nor are they ready to deal with the potential consequences of having sex.

I trap my kids individually in the car (so they can't get away) to talk to them about this type of thing.  Otherwise, they would run the other direction.

 

I've finished reading Seventeen Cakes by vanessarae.  I enjoyed this one and for a H/S fic it wasn't as bad as I had feared.  I was actually  disappointed when it finished. 

I tried to read Finding Home by jennde again, but, I can't stand how selfish Bella is, so have flounced again.

I'm trawling for something new now.

She's selfish? How? I read that one when it was a wip!  So that was years ago. But I don't remember her being selfish.
