LMAO. Well what can I say?  ;D

Hubs just got home from Russia / Finland too, he is home 2 days and then heads to Brazil for a week. So my life consists of ReadReadRead FuckLikeRabbits ReadReadRead.

Hey, you gotta get it when you can. Hubs claims he has to go away to rest.   :D

I would do the same thing!!  :D :D

Well, am currently drinking at my home with hubs and friends... May get some dutch courage to do it later... Unless am too wasted and would slur my words even more...or, to rub it in astro's face some more, get laid... :D :D

Its driving me crazy that I can't remember what picture ella had! I noticed she had a new avi ( it's nice by the way) but I can't believe I don't remember the old one. And I saw it everyday !!!!!

How is that possible - and I pride myself over my awesome memory!!!

 :-[ :-[ :-[
LOL!  It was a nice pic of Rob. Before that, it was my cat in a box.  I change more than most but less than Matron ;)

I was reminiscing last night on our conversations in the past. I wound up finding this. I even giggled to myself.

So damn hard to find a bra. I am naturally well endowed. Kids, GRAVITY, age, and well now, they are more like cow utters. Imma 36DD, but could really use a 36DDD. I use to be a 32DD, but I got thicker as I got older. And to top it all off, I got them when I was 12, so I was ridiculed all through school that I stuffed myself. I can remember endless crying begging mom for a boob reduction. I guess that lead to tougher skin. Now they can go f*ck themselves, and I tell them to their face now. Nope not a bashful bone in my body anymore

Love the accent!!

Am too shy to do this though. I tend to speak too fast and eat my words  :(
Same! Especially if I'm nervous, which I most likely would be doing this. It'd be indecipherable.

I like your Rob pic.  Very James Dean.

And yeah, way before my time.  But the bad boy look is hot.  ;)

.

At RAOR we did this years ago. It was a post of a paragraph and each of us had to read it and record on there. It was great since we had hundreds of RAOR sistas from all over the world. I love the British and Aussie accents.

The words much different that I noticed were advertisement, garage, again, and I will have to listen again, but I didn't know what the last word you said were before you started reading. I am sipping my first cup of coffee, so I need to wake up a little and get the frog out of my voice. Then I need to find a paragraph. I am not bashful as you ladies learned a long time ago  ;D

Astro what did you read?

I found it Astro. Never even heard of wooloomooloo. That's a word?

Crap, I gotta drag out the laptop. iPad doesn't like vocaroo.

I hope you all give it a go - even it's just a short greeting that you post the link to here.

I'd love to hear what you all sound like - and then develop really good voice recognition software and stalk you all even more!!!

Woolloomooloo is a suburb down in Sydney - it's an aboriginal word. We have a lot of aboriginal words - the school in the neighbourhood I live in is called Warraburra and our famous "laughing" bird is the kookaburra.

And now that I've discovered how simple voceroo is to use, here's how to pronounce them properly, as well as a few other words foreigners struggle with!

Oh - we are a shy bunch! I was nervous, which is crazy - it was almost as bad as presenting at a workshop!

What was that last word you spoke?

We have a lot of town names or really proper nouns that are Indian as well. Chuckatuck, Perquimans, Ahoskie, Tuscarora, Chesapeake, Pasquotank, etc.

I need to provide a transcript too? How mortifying!

Or is it just a translation you need?

Woolloomooloo, Warraburra, Kookaburra, Melbourne, Kangaroo, Koala, Whoop Whoop

Whoop-Whoop is where you live, the middle of nowhere - where Rob spent 6 weeks filming The Rover.

Lol sorry. I didn't know whoop-whoop. Well I would have described the word as what a cop car does behind you. Sometimes it is a siren, but if he chirps it, it sounds like whoop, whoop.

I think I probably have it a little easier because all of our tv shows and movies are either English or American, so we hear these words and accents somewhat frequently. I remember reading that in some parts of the US, Crocodile Dundee had subtitles, and now shows like Swamp People are shown with subtitles. I have wondered if the subtitles are needed in America as well.

Reading the list of words and pictures was a challenge because I kept wanting to use the American pronunciation or emphasis, and even the term  my brain must have been over-thinking who the audience would be!
