Lol sorry. I didn't know whoop-whoop. Well I would have described the word as what a cop car does behind you. Sometimes it is a siren, but if he chirps it, it sounds like whoop, whoop.

I think I probably have it a little easier because all of our tv shows and movies are either English or American, so we hear these words and accents somewhat frequently. I remember reading that in some parts of the US, Crocodile Dundee had subtitles, and now shows like Swamp People are shown with subtitles. I have wondered if the subtitles are needed in America as well.

Reading the list of words and pictures was a challenge because I kept wanting to use the American pronunciation or emphasis, and even the term  my brain must have been over-thinking who the audience would be!

I dunno if you have watched Lizard lick towing or not, but that is an actual town about 2 hrs from here. Duck dynasty is a lot like 'round here too.

Heyheyhey neighbor, be nice. Lol.  I am from NE NC. The county, not city, but the whole county I live in is 340 square miles or 881 square kilometers and has a population of 11000. There is 1 stoplight in the whole county. It has gone up a lot in population I would say the past several years with lots of people from VA moving in. We do have a lot of kin folk. There is not much here now, so what do you think the choices were when my ancestors came over in the mid 1600s? When I use to do a bunch of genealogy, I use to tell my parents I thought it was suppose to have branches, and all I have is a trunk! i had to get software that goes nuts when i do a kinship report. LMAO. My husband whom I met in college, is from the other end of the state. I tease I was getting purebred, so I had to bring in fresh genetics. My sister married what we call an import too. My family was one of the originals. My last name before marriage the city is named after. What does my city have besides farmland? A bank, a post office, a gas station, a volunteer fire dept. Yup that's it. I live not too far from the coast, and the Outer Banks of NC has tons of lighthouses. For those that remember their US History in school, it is also where "The Lost Colony" was. No banjos around here though, we have to head 8 hrs to the NC mountains to hear that. 

My inlaws are in Wilson's Mills N.C. and when I was recently there we were laughing at an ecard I found that said " North Carolina where you can marry your cousin just not your GAY cousin." My Mother in-law pipes up and says" Thats not true anymore! They just passed it where you can't be first cousins but any other kind is okay."    I am originally from Virginia and the reason you are getting so many people moving from there is that VA sucks. Its over crowded, over priced, and over taxed. You can't do anything without buying a permit or getting a ticket. I have no plans to go back. They are about to put tolls on all roads in and out of the state. Its a terrible place.
