Hello everybody! I'm baaaaaack!!!!! I have missed all of you terribly. It looks like I missed out on quite a bit including the locking of our last thread,PTS being down, a custom-ward take until sav makes an appearance (hawt btw) and much more. Oh we'll I'm here now and I've read every.single.page.

Astro, how are you?? Omg I totally want to do the voice recording thingy but can't because of my stoopid iPad. Giggled like a school girl when I heard your voice, don't know why? Seemed surreal I think.

RDMickey, good to see you're back. Hopefully for a while? Hope your hand is ok (that was you wasn't it?) I also lovvvved your recording. Your voice and accent are so cool!

I wish more of you lovelies would record something and freak me out some more. I'll probably laugh but not at you but hearing your voices makes you real. Not that you aren't. Lol just that we sit here on opposite sides of the world and we probably know more about each other than some of our family members but hearing you ladies is ? I'll shut up now.

Okay, so I'm going to get on my soapbox real quick because I just read something that annoyed me, and it's not the first time I've seen it. In most fics I read, Bella is a grown woman. HS/AU is maybe different, but at least in AH where Bella is an adult she's fully entitled to have condoms somewhere in her room. I read a fic where Edward was pissed that she had them - why?! It's not like he's the only person she's ever slept with, and it annoys me that the writer tries to make her out to be some kind of hoebag because she has contraception available. What's even more annoying is that they then feel the need to justify it by having Bella say she only bought them in preparation for Edward's magic peen.

Really?  Was it a teen writer?  Because that is just wrong.  I never got the men have to be experienced but women have to be virgins.  Where do the men get their experience?  Prostitutes?  Because I'm thinking a man whose sole experience is prostitutes probably knows nothing about making a woman happy.   

Though I have to say most of the AH over 20 Bella stories I read has that it has been a while since Bella had sex.  So any condoms would be pretty old LOL! 

So looking at recently completed stories & was checking out this OS where Bella gets angry when waitress Tanya flirts with Edward throughout their supposedly romantic dinner. 

So this line had me laughing - ""I think I have every damn right to think that Edward! She sat there and basically flirted with you right in front of me! And all you did was basket it in!"

 

Oh, it wasn't recently completed, it was a help me find. 

Found this in a story I was reading recently by LyricalKris (who is one of my fav authors):

"It was weird that it felt so right to hold this girl - this woman - in his arms. Edward's general mindset was a little stormy. He never felt quite right, not with anyone, yet in the few minutes he'd spent with Bella, he felt strangely at piece."

Umm Astro,  there is one thing I have learned on this board,  95% of the time our minds are in the gutter. 

Howdy everyone, hope all is well! I've been abed with terrible headaches the past few days, but I've managed to get some reading donw between poundings. (mind OUT of the gutter, ladies!)

I read Hardcover Paranormal Romance, which was funny, but not really as deep and emotional as I like.

Then I read The Subtle Grace of Gravity, which started out really well, but then it turned into just about every other non-canon vamp fic I've read. I think it's about time for wolves or AH.

Then for a little bit of Vampward, I read The Decision, which was really sweet, and I liked it a lot, but now I want a bit more heat. This was almost a *clean* romance story. I need at least a little smut!

Sometimes things in stories make no sense.  Vamp Rosalie is filing her nails.  Um, what with? Diamond files? If the nails don't grow or break, why bother.

Little things like this are distracting in a story to me. Or am I the only one who notices it.

Lol that's one expensive nail file. I'll only notice if the plot isn't really interesting otherwise if I've been sucked into the story line I wouldn't notice.
