I wanted to post a huge thank you to whoever rec'ed  The Real Life of E.A.Masen.   It's after 3:00am and I have disturbed the entire house with my howling laughter! This Edward is one of my very favorites now. The birthing chapter is one of the funniest things I have ever read.  Thanks again and if you haven't read this fic go read it right now!!  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D   :-*

Another conversation about how short you all are? Fine by me ;)

Just read lots of a story before realising it was incomplete - really creams my corn when that happens! Everything is paling next to the Up in the Air series I read over the past few days. SO hot. I read through most of it like :o Definitely not for reading in public :D

I'm having some problems with Up in the Air series...I've got a Kobo as e-reader and in my store there aren't the books  :'( How are you reading it? You've bought the books? Because Amazon suggest me to install a program ( I think is Kindle program) on my pc but I want to know if I'll be able to read it once installed.   :pulling

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D true story! I think it is worse  when you are in the bathroom and someone is at the door....  :57:

Am not a computer expert but i have an ipad and could only read epubs and pdfs. So i installed the kindle app and am now able to read mobi books. For the PC, i have Calibre and will use that to read any ebook format. But i prefer to convert the file to epub and load to my ipad. So maybe, you can try Calibre in your PC first. if not, there might not be any harm in installing kindle in your PC?

I had the same problem when I wanted to buy an e-book which was a former ffic that was pulled.  It was only available over here from Amazon UK, so for reading on a Kindle, and no good for my Nook.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D true story! I think it is worse  when you are in the bathroom and someone is at the door....  :57:

I can do worse than that:

I'm in the bathroom, someone is at the door and my 2yo is happy to help... runs to open the door and take the person outside by the hand to lead them to me...  :o :o :o :o :o

I think it is worse  when you are in the bathroom and someone is at the door....  :57:

This happened to me this morning... I wasn't the only one in the house but apparently the only one to hear the doorbell. The bathroom is next to the door... But what is really bad is when you shower, someone is at the door and noone else around to answer :) I somehow managed to dry myself and put clothes on in about a minute - it was someone who lived in this house fifty years ago and wanted to look at the garden again.

:D Sorry I'm laughing, but this is so funny :D

I read You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login yesterday and loved it. It was a nice break from the terribly boring Dusty (honestly, I started reading that three weeks ago and I've only managed to read 2/3 of the story so far... I soo want to punch that Edward and Bella).

I don't know how or I would.  Can't have Astro sulking  ::) :banghead:

Hey!!! I wasn't sulking!

I was curious! I thought I might have missed a way to show extra-appreciation because if I even hit the thanks button twice I get a big red message that basically says - IDIOT! You've already pressed that button!

That's not a direct quote  ;)

Well - now I'm sulking...or I would be if I looked this good with a pout:

I have PM'ed you.

I have Kindle for PC on my laptop because I couldn't open mobi files on my computer. So now I can download and open them, and also convert them online for my e-reader. I haven't had a problem with it.

I have a vague memory that I posted the instructions for this somewhere here - I'll try to find it and repost it.

I really need to remember to change the subject line to make searches for things like this easier!  :-[

My project got confirmed today! So I've been accepted into my first choice of dissertation, thank goodness. Now if only I didn't have a study group from 5pm onwards, today would be great :D

Great news on the dissertation confirmation! Good job!

I pray that someone comes to my door while I am a state of undress!!!

I liked Dusty - it was a long, frustrating, challenging and super angsty read and the story just about killed me, but I loved it.

I hope the authors get their shit together and do the rumoured futuretake!

Does anyone have an update on this drama?

I PM'ed you as well, Hathor.

Please explain your name. My dirty mind laughs every time I read it!
I love history, my favourtie is Ancient Egypt, hence the name, and your right, part of the persona of hathor was as a love/fertility goddess, but that's not why I chose it.

The goddess hathor -

Cult Center: Dendera and throughout Egypt

Attributes: .Because her worship stretches back to pre-dynastic times, we find Hathor identified with many local goddesses, and it can be said that all the goddesses were forms of Hathor. At times we find her playing the role of a sky-goddess, a sun-goddess, a moon-goddess, a goddess of the east, a goddess of the west, a goddess of moisture, a goddess of fertility, an agricultural goddess, and a goddess of the underworld.

Hathor was the goddess of joy, motherhood, and love. She was considered the protectress of pregnant women and a midwife. She was the patron of all women, no matter their station in life. As the goddess of music and dancing her symbol was the sistrum. As a fertility goddess and a goddess of moisture, Hathor was associated with the inundation of the Nile. In this aspect she was associated with the Dog-star Sothis whose rising above the horizon heralded the annual flooding of the Nile. In the legend of Ra and Hathor she is called the "Eye of Ra."

etc, etc.   :-*

I'm not the biggest Jackson fan - I didn't like him as Jasper - but I googled him, for research purposes only, of course, and I can now say that I kinda get it.

But if Rob and Jackson came face to face in a scruff war, Rob would win hands-down!

Not too many pics of Jackson riding anything, though!  ;)

I love history, but I'm obviously not as cultured as you...

I was thinking more along the lines of Hathor = Hat Whore!

Sorry - my mind sometimes goes so far in the gutter that it even shocks me!!!
