I've finished this now and can say I really enjoyed it. Obviously, based on the summary it is not all sunshine and roses but, it is well written and not completely out of the realm of possibility (quite a scary thought).

Yes, I really liked it too, especially because it's not over the top, it could absolutely happen like this. Stories like this one make me check our pantry and buy stuff we could survive on without electricity...

2 or 3 years ago a village here in Germany lost their electricity for several weeks during winter. There was too much snow... I got crazy with trying to get enough informations about surviving soething like that...

Drinking water was a problem though. I'm assuming heating was an issue in a snowstorm. I would worry more about freezing.

What part of Germany? I lived in Boeblingen and Stuttgart 1988-1991 with hubs. Wow, that looks like a long time ago when I put it in writing.

I like vampward, so you will have to let me know if it is readable. The Red Eye is, well, a little different. It seems a little tongue in cheek type humor. Like playing up the 107 year old virgin bit. Being that Bella is experienced. And he is a 17 year old boy at heart. Such a dilemma
