We actually have an ice hockey team here in Houston, despite the lack of freezing temperatures at almost any time of year. Since ice hockey is played inside, the outside temperature doesn't matter. It is cold on an ice rink, inside or not. So those boys' bits are cold with no coverings. I'm sure they were playing very, very carefully!

The Houston Aeros were actually mentioned in a fanfic I read recently - He Shoots, She Scores by witchyvampiregirl (the extended version, not the one-shot).

I just googled to see how many ice rinks we have in Australia (there are 21 all up - 4 here in Queensland

)

I think one of the reasons he looks so feminine is because of all the manscaping. He looks like he shaved/waxed everything!

I think I could really like baseball. It is a dream of mine to visit the States and watch a real life baseball game!

Of course, my knowledge of baseball comes from the baseball scene in Twilight, twifics like The Fan and Foul Territory, and movies like Bull Durham, The Natural, The Perfect Catch (Fever Pitch in the US?) and Summer Catch.

But men in tight pants? And beer? How could I not like it?

It does seem out of character for the way Edward is with Bella, and also for the tone of the source material aka Twilight. I always attributed it to the fact that boys together are different from boys with girls.

Hockey - ice hockey - is not played here...probably because we don't have ice!

However, strictly for educational purposes, in order to fully understand and appreciate TMoBS, I undertook some extensive research into hockey players.

I have a question for those of you who live in cooler climes where ice hockey is played:

Wouldn't this be a little cold? And a little dangerous?

I mean, the blade of an ice skate must be called a blade for a reason!

(And I've put these in a spoiler just to be safe - I have looked really, really closely, and can't see any areas in need of manscaping!

I have never played hockey myself but I grew up around a lot of people playing. But from what I understand they wear a good amount of layers of clothes and protective padding. Along with gloves and helmets. That helps with the cold and protecting them if they catch a blade or being checked.

I'm guessing that "being checked" refers to when the players crash into each other, not the players checking out each others "bits".

This must be huge to her, but it is a bit creepy and nasty!

After the first "img", type in a space followed by "width=450". You can type any number, but it should not be bigger than 450.
